To late now It's on TCM right now Don't remember it back in the 70s 1st time I've seen it and not impressed The Brown Bess was designed as an "Assault Rifle" Pretty much the same character --- "Good Ole Boy" Hahahahahahahahahahahaah --- That's funny Only a small point--- She was a little crazy , she could blame on her upbringing, But Rape??? Considering her business, I know that doesn't qualify rape but 7 fucking times and NO Police report, on a rape, Saw it when it came out --- I was 14 IT is my favorite Romance Movie of ALL time Audrey and Albert BOTH did a fine job I just looked at her Wikipedia Bio and I'd say she was good with the sentence. Looked forward to it Remember this is Hollywood TRUTH is only important if it doesn't get in the way of the story Try to watch the longest version you can find --- I honestly forgot the length , close to 3 hours, Maybe the Directors edition They must have thought about it in advance of the riot Saw it when it got in the theater --- The original Short, cut-up version --- Don't recall any special or negative reaction --- But the there are a lot of movies people don't get up and cheer --- I did know a couple folks there and 1 did mention he thought it was cut up and could have been better ALWAYS liked it--- Saw it when it came out --- The longer versions are better James Mason is/was one of those actors that---- No matter how badly the movie stunk HIS performance was better than the rest of the movie --- Michael Caine is another one Hard ti pick a Favorite If it says Directed by Robert Wise I'm watching it Your post is fairly Fg stupid --- As usual folks like you only see the history they want From a newspaper report dated 13 December 2013: Police broke into the flat of Cornelius Gurlitt, the son of a Nazi art dealer who hoarded hundreds of works believed to have been looted by the Third Reich. Gurlitt has been the focus of huge media attention after a trove of over 1,400 previously unknown masterpieces were uncovered in his München flat. A task force appointed to research the origin of the art has said that around 590 pictures fall into the category of art looted or extorted by the Nazis from Jewish collectors. These include pieces by Pablo Picasso, Henri Matisse, Edvard Munch, Paul Cézanne and others. Doesn't seem the Germans were saving anything for History EXCEPT for their own singular benefit We didn't steal the "Sniveling Nazis"--- we gave them a choice between staying and being prosected JUST for doing their jobs Or come to the US I don't recall the Germans fighting side by side with any Black folks During WW2 the US Army was segregated ---- "Separate but equal", was the law of the land { Get the F over it},,, After the war, 1948 I believe Truman DEsegerated the Army Hahahahahahahaha ---- Pretty sure the people "Looted" were given an option to go or stay and face the consequences of their work with Germany At some point --- Churchill was asked to take money from the arts and give it to the Army His response was What are we fighting for then The Only culture any country has is the ART they leave behind -- Painting, Sculpting, Writing, Music, Movies etc etc Well the Russians were allies of Germany (Until Operation Barbarossa) How many Brits died in the Blitz?? The art, I'm guessing was returned to where it was seized by the Germans. HOW much art did the Germans seize while they were in Russia?? The Russians don't deserve Reparations Ever notice in some movies were there is smoking SOME of the folks smoking take a drag and don't exhale smoke Now I know you can take a drag, hold it in and exhale very little I have read where they have cigarettes for actors that don't smoke but it calls for it in the script and is part of the character, They fire up and burn, but contain no tobacco I am a smoker (Trying to quit----for 3 years) I'm actually just watching it now (I don't give a crap about spoilers, IF I didn't want to know about the movie I wouldn't be here now) IT is NEVER smart to expect historical accuracy from Hollywood What I read here is mostly just youse being against Nepotism I think the The Coppola kid pretty good playing the spoiled brat daddies girl
