I think they needed to quickly move away from the sack hood/overalls look for Jason in order further differentiate him from Michael Myers/Halloween.
In the early hours of the morning, say 1AM to 5AM, it is quite common to see a number of American news shows and infomercials. As for movies, well yes, just like every other English speaking country, American movies probably make up about 75% of the movies that screen on our TV.
Excellent post and well said. It's actually been a long time since a horror movie left me feeling genuinely icky a not wanting too go to bed afterwards. This one did the trick.
Well I knew 'Black Panther' wasn't about the African American Political party and quasi terrorist organization (the Black Panthers) from the late 1960s early 1970s. I knew 'Deadpool' wasn't going to be a remake of the Clint Eastwood movie 'The Dead Pool'. On the other hand I did honestly did think that "I Love You Philip Morris' was going to have something to do with the Cigarette industry. But because I saw the movie poster of Atomic Blonde before I heard anything about it, I completely believed it was going to be all about Debbie Harry and Blondie with their 1979 hit 'Atomic' being the feature song of the sound track.
OK then genius. Explain it all, so that others can see whether your any smarter or completely full of shit.
I was seriously beginning to question whether she has actually died. Although her death was reported on our evening news, there was no tribute in the newspaper the next day and I saw no report of her passing on internet news feeds I'm regularly exposed to. There seemed to be no tribute to her or even report of her death on Extra (entertainment TV news program) and this is very sad. Only when I looked her up on IMDB was I convinced she had actually died. I guess there are so many celebrities like Kidder are dying so thick and fast now that many are missing out on the recognition they deserve upon their deaths.
Anyway RIP Margot
What the hell has the Lion King and Cats got to do with one another ? What the hell has Grease and Bye Bye Birdie got to do with one another ? The world famous stage show 'Barnum' and its accompanying music is all about the P.T.BARNUM story. So when they decide to make a movie musical based on the story of P.T.BARNUM, naturally you imagine it will feature all the classic music from the famous stage show BARNUM.
It's interesting because the actress (Julianne Nicholson) was only 42 years old at the time of this movie and she looked even younger still. I remember her from 'Ally McBeal' when she was only in her early 30s, which makes it difficult to think of her as being nearly 47 years of age now, as she just doesn't seemed to have aged since that TV show.
add Waitress
Yes. The first thing they showed of the South Africans depicted them as having left rubbish strewn on the ground at the base camp and I think that was to set the tone for what was to come.
"Why do you think his career has been hurt? According to IMDB he has been working steadily."
Absolutely spot on. I'd never even heard of him until 'The Passion of the Christ' and considering his work has included a starring role in a hit TV series 'Person of Interest' for five seasons in the years since, I really do find the OPs post slightly baffling.
The big question I want to ask is 'Was that meant to be the mother walking along the street drunk and singing ?'. Billie came up to her and they both looked at one another, before the woman walked away. If it wasn't the mother, then what was the point of the scene ? Perhaps it was just a drunken woman (who could sing just like Billies mother) and she reminded Billie of her, or did she actually think it was her for a second ? Does anyone have an answer to these questions ?
I think you criticism has been well and truly rebutted by most of the other replies. Never the less I'm sure everyone would have burst out laughing when Stuart yelled as he got his hand caught in the stuffed tigers teeth. But we still loved it and are glad it was in the film.
I appreciate your opinion on the awful moral standards of this movie and it's general unpleasantness. But the big thing I don't get is that you praise those other 3 gross out movies which are possibly even more repulsive, more immoral and filthier that this movie, which is almost tame in comparison.
The more I think about it, the more I think it was a clever ending. It leaves you wondering whether they were just fucking with his mind and simply letting him stew in horror for a while before they actually call the cops to come and get him. Or maybe they were actually going to leave him to die; u-u-u-arrr (cue thunder). But I do hope that they took the girl to surgery quick smart to get that gaping incision on her head stitched up.
I agree 100%. I fear Daniel might just have type cast himself as gay for the rest of his acting career after this. Couldn't he have at least got a body double for the sex scene and hidden his face from view ? Or perhaps they could of used CGI to put a naked butt baring body onto Radcliffe's figure, so that he could retain some dignity in knowing that he was still actually fully clothed in real life during that scene, LOL.
Yes, until you could put the title out of your mind, it was damned hard to to start taking the movie seriously.
I think most would agree that these Lesbians watching Gay Male Porn doesn't make sense whatsoever and they couldn't come up with a proper explanation for it. I understand their reasoning for not being into Lesbian porn, but I imagine the next best choice for a Lesbian would be straight porn because they can imagine themselves in place of the man having sex with the beautiful woman. But watching two gay men doesn't make sense at all.
Yes she certainly does cut a comical figure with that enormous arse. But there's something else I'm interested in. This bimbo came up with a list of the yearly rates in which various things kill Americans in one of her pathetic tweets. She said 65 Americans a year die from lawn mower accidents and only two Americans a year are killed by Islamic terrorists. Given that over 3,000 Americans were killed by Islamic terrorists in 2001 alone, it would suggest that a rate of over 200 Americans a year have been killed by Islamic terrorists in the last 17 years at least. So why aren't Americans attacking this human trash for seemingly denying 9/11 ?
I thought they might have included a couple of the more memorable songs from the class stage musical such as 'There's a Sucker Born Every Minute' and 'Come Follow the Band'. But obviously not.
