i knew he was still alive near end, especially since they never showed his body on camera.
Some of scenes were cringy but i enjoyed the movie as a whole.
I'm not American, but i feel in 2020 the US is going the same way of the UK. Woke politics is pretty much destroying the anglophone nations
I googled Michael Strobe and he was quite good looking. Doesn't really matter if its Kevin, as he did pretty good with the role.
I found it too long, maybe 30-50 minutes less would better. Still an ok movie.
Just realized this is the woman i saw in the movie "Grand Canyon" recently. Didn't even recognise her and it was only a year made between the movies.
Yeah he wasn't good
It depends on the person and the circumstances. Some people can recognize faces in weeks, months sometimes years. But something like a brief irrelevant moment like Elgin-Dunbar at the start of the film its possible, so i don't think its strange. Not to mention a year(?) had pass and there war was still going on.. Elgin probably saw hundreds of soldiers.
I find Jake's acting performances far better when he was younger; this, Donnie Darko, compared to the ones where he is older. I found him in Nocturnal Animals and Okja to be terrible.
My favourite scenes were definitely any with Homer and his father. Some of the best son-father dynamics ive seen in a film, that doesn't overdo it; like his father isn't some deadbeat drunk or violent, or his son still has respect for John even if they don't see eye to eye or wanting to do the same job as him.
Chris Tucker was definitely the worst character in this. All his campy demeanour and comedic remarks seemed forced and just not funny. Not enough to ruin the movie for me, though.
No. Bruce Willis looked pretty good in this, even with his receding hairline and all.
Yes. I've been watching a couple of Japanese dramas and for me, i noticed that the Japanese child actors in these are very terse and wooden, and i can't seem to get into them much. I feel like Scandinavian child actors seem to be much raw and real, especially films like "The Hunt", "Pelle and the Conqueror". It was an ok film, but nothing special.
Her voice reminded me of Jennifer Tilly
Yes i refer to them as partisans or even anti-heroes.
As others have mentioned above, he's only 23, has no experience with shooting as well as Denmark pretty much being taken over by Nazis, having to watch his every step, i'd be pretty nervous.
definitely the scene where they escape from the bar full of Gestapo guards was pretty unrealistic and had me rolling my eyes.
I found him strangely off in this film. Maybe its because im used to him in his Rush Hour films.
I felt she was a little overrated in this. However i've only seen 2 of the films the other actresses were nominated alongside her in 2012 Oscars; Emmanuelle Riva (Amour) and Quvenzhane Wallis (Beasts of the Southern Wild) and she had more range then those two, so maybe she deserved it. I honestly preferred her performance in Winters Bone though.
Agree. First 20 minutes i felt it dragging but stuck with it and as the movie went i enjoyed it more and more. One of those films.
