That's why Kit Harington and Emilia Clarke have gone for action and romance films over the last 3 or so years, so they can show their ranges. Richard Madden was typecast when he first left the show, but I think he's currently on a police show for BBC. Natalie Dormer was in the Hunger Games with Gwendolyn Christie, who was also in the last 2 Star Wars movies. Iwan Rheon was on one of those Marvel TV shows, but it got canceled before the season finished airing. The guy who plays Edmure Tully gets typecast in period dramas. The older actors, almost all are famous in British film, if not internationally.
The book is just season 1. The end of season 1 matches the ambiguous ending in the book.
Seasons 3 and 4 would be world war.
This puts the Waterfords in a tight spot. They will at the very least need to come up with a believable story about why they brought their stolen kid's real mom to their house who then had a baby right there on the floor. Hopefully they will be able to get out of it.
LOL not really, I don't care if they get strung up on the wall.
Delores believes she's hacked human nature. But she is basing this on a small sample size because only the elites went to the park.

The guy said she has admin level access, so she should be able to go in through the wireless parts via nearby access point and then go long distance over the wired part to find another host.
The people are being used to build the defense shield. They have a ground factory in Seattle like they had on the moon.
He wanted to kill her because she threatened to shut down his project and take away his fantasy world. Claiming she was a host was just a way for William to give himself an excuse to do it.
William doesn't even know for sure if he's a human
It's definitely not the kind of show that tries to explain up front to the viewers what they're going to see. Ed Harris said they didn't tell him a whole lot about his character in season 1 until right before it was time to shoot the scene, but this season they were giving the actors their whole arc so they do have some idea where they're going with the story as a whole. HBO wants this to be the kind of show people go back and watch multiple times, so stuff we see in season 2 may not be as significant now, but it may tie into something that happens in season 4. Game of Thrones is like that, where season 6 had a lot of callbacks to season 1.
If they're in a simulation, anything could happen.
The effect was intentional. They want the viewer to feel like something is not right with the Bowmans and their new situation. First they have Will in a scene on his own. Then the whole 2 minute scene in the house was a single tracking shot that followed Will until Katie passes, then it immediately follows Katie into the kitchen with the kids. We get to see enough of the house to know they appear to be living pretty well, but also there is something going on with Will, that he's not on the same page as everyone else.
It kinda reminded me of the very first scene of the show when they were doing the morning stuff in the kitchen, but kept showing the picture of their other kid who was in Santa Monica at the time.
Originally the raps needed people like Will because he could help root out the resistance fighters, but I think that changed along the way and now they need him in case their defense thingy breaks down and they have to fight the other ETs.
I don't remember if they did all of this for the show, but in the book they were trying to create a tourism market for Gilead. In particular, there was a lot of interest from Asia. They liked to come for the spectacle- handmaids, wives, etc., and the colors they wore, the choreographed rituals and the way people would interact (or not) with each other. The handmaids were warned not to talk to the tourists, who would sometimes try to come over and have a conversation with them even though they knew the handmaids wouldn't respond. But before these groups came in, there was a big deal made about cutting down the dead bodies and washing the blood off the walls.
It was all about public perception. The bombing painted them in a sympathetic light, at least enough for Canada to see an opportunity to restart diplomatic relations, try to get them to make changes and avoid a war. There were already protests against the Canadian government for inviting them into the country, but the situation was manageable. When the letters got out, they just reminded everyone of what was still going on in Gilead. It made the protests larger and more intense, and the Canadians could no longer manage the backlash.
June has a special talent for pushing their buttons
They need The Hound for the story. There is almost certainly gonna be another fight with The Mountain and to beat him, he probably needs to do the flaming sword thing. It would really bring his character full circle, because he would have conquered his fear of fire.
chaos is a ladder
They're probably not going to have the feudal system in place after the known conflicts are settled. Dany said she wanted to break the wheel and we already know when she left Meereen she wanted the people to elect their own leaders. And also she wants to leave the world in a better place than when she found it. The White Walkers are surely going to lay some destruction, and the people who survive will have to stick together to rebuild. The show could end with a situation like that, or more likely they flash forward 50 years and they're right back to having kings and lords fighting each other again.
I've got a bad feeling Jaime won't make it through the next couple episodes. He can warn Jon and Dany about Cersei flipping on them, and I think he will be with Brienne long enough to get her pregnant. Then he gets close enough to the Night King to fight him, just to discover the Valyrian steel doesn't hurt the Night King like it does the other White Walkers. So he goes down fighting, but not before revealing an important piece of info.
