I, too, like the theme song and the original orchestration, but maybe we're in the minority. I've never understood why so many people hate it to the extreme. One poster even said he hates it so much he almost did not watch the first episode.
The lyrics actually tell a story.
Totally agree! But it would have been more like a family drama and not a sci-fi, even though it would have a Vulcan.
Let's toss around some ideas about how he would eventually explain his physiological differences. For the ears he could use something ala Spock: got his head caught in a mechanical rice picker.
I came to see if anyone is up for discussing the show and found people complaining about the theme song. Looks like I'm outnumbered but I like it. It really describes the struggle humans have in reaching the stars, especially the line about "they're not going to hold me back no more".
You guys are the best! I've been having chat withdrawals on my favorite shows. (Criminal Minds has been driving me nuts.) So glad to see an active, welcoming, polite community of fellow movie-TV chatters!
Someone awaiting trial does not wait in hard-core prison. They wait in jail. A cop would be in protective custody. One prison guard cannot ignore a judge's order to put him in the jail, in protective custody. That guard would be reprimanded (at least) and Reid would be put where he is supposed to be. Even the prison warden would know the guard screwed up and he has the power to fix it. They are all in contempt of court for ignoring the judge. Everyone knows he's in the wrong place yet no one can fix it? This storyline is so unbelievably stupid!
