I'm guessing you don't know any teenagers and don't remember being one. They did a pretty good job showing the trouble these kids had, but also how they could put aside their individual problems to come together as a team. That was actually a turning point in the movie. It would not have been much of a movie if they were all happy little perfect teen angels I loved it and my grandson is already hoping for part two! Me too! My grandson and I are looking forward to a sequel, if there is one. I agree, although I think healing might be part of their powers. Did you notice Jason took the brace off his injured leg? This was probably the weakest part of the story for me. Don't want to say too much because of spoilers. But overall, I enjoyed this quite a bit, as did my 10-year-old grandson. I saw it with my 10-year-old grandson and we both loved it! He is hoping there will be a part two. I never watched the tv show except a glance when my daughter had it on so I was concerned that this might be too cheesy, but it is not. Someone else said it had a slow start. That's somewhat true, but it worked because they were having the teens meet, showing a little backstory. So for a sci-fi action movie is was actually good to have some character development. Having the bad guy be Rita Repulsa like on the tv show was questionable, but they did a good job making her bad without the slapstick idiocy I was expecting. Keep in mind this is still a kid's movie. Too many adults come on these boards and say bad things about kid's movies. It's not Oscar material, but really worth the price of a movie ticket. I will definitely get this when it comes out on blu-ray or digital. We are "delusional" because we like it. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, no need to call names simply because your opinion differs from others on this thread. I'm sure there are other postings where you can rant with others about how bad you think the movie is. The villagers were separated from their partners because they were the hired help and got caught in the enchantment when they were at work. Staff do not have to live in the castle. Oh my gosh Sarah are you for real? He's a pig! He's only ACTING as nice is he can to try and get her but she's not a fool! If you are a woman is this the type of man you want to be with? If you are a man and think his behavior is not "objectionable" then you need to get a clue. He wasn't even a little bit "charming". Wow. Very well-said and I agree. I loved the movie but these actors were out-of-place and out-of-time. If Disney wants to include more minorities in their productions then they need to create more roles for minorities, not plunk them into historical roles just so they can include black actors. I saw the Crucible on stage (local theater) and they had a prominent man played by a black actor and the slave woman played by a white actress. Ruined the whole production. I would not have an issue with a live-action Little Mermaid with black (or any race) actors, since merfolk are imaginary creature to begin with. Same with Snow White, although she would obviously have to be white. Probably because more people (like me) love this movie rather than hate it (like you). Also, adults take kids to see movies and kids (my grandchildren) like the movie, too. With so many movies these days being R rated or PG-13 and SHOULD be R, it's nice to have a movie the whole family can see. By the way, is there a point to complaining about a movie you don't like? Just curious. I think replacing Tony with three characters was a mistake. I like all the characters but it's too many. You can't really get to know them. I would have been happy with just the British guy. I think he has a removable wall that opens into the yard. I don' t remember seeing all around tge house. Maybe it's built on a hill. They would have to do something new, maybe something on a foreign base like in Italy or Japan, or maybe focus on "agent afloat" on something like a carrier. Those carriers are like floating cities. There might not be a lot of crime so it would have to be a wider focus. Of course they could make it based in Bremerton, Washington. Twice Bremerton has been mentioned, kind of jokingly like it was a punishment. There are four bases in Bremerton and thousands of sailors. Their rain machines would have to work over time! They couldn't make it based in Seattle. There isn't much of a Navy presence there. (I've worked for the Navy in Bremerton for 30 years.) I watch NCIS a couple of days after it airs. It's not very good anymore since Tony left. I don't think you're really a fan if you only watched for a couple of years out of 14. You could be a Sasha Alexander fan, but not an NCIS fan. I disagree about when the show died. I thought it was great until Tony left. This was hyped as "never before have the players never met! Something new!" But didn't they do something similar a year or two ago? They matched singles up hoping to make a romantic hook-up. Does anyone else remember that? It's the one show a week I watch right away. Will miss my Friday show. I thought the same thing. Those two dying was emotional to me. Sometimes I get attached to characters. I watch it in the US. Regarding the ghost thing, it's what sets the show apart. Otherwise it's just another medical drama. I hated the entire ending. It was an insult to Enterprise fans. We did not need characters from TNG showing up, we didn't need to see Trip die. There are so many other ways it could have gone. For example, they could have gotten their engines enhanced so they could travel farther and then have Archer give a command to go see what's out there, or something. Anything but holograms!
