She is a good actress but her character is all clichés. After about 15 minutes I started fast-forwarding her scenes - they were so predictable.
Good show. Great by modern standards.
Obviously not dumb enough to succeed.
A bunch of great actors being incomprehensible.
Actually not a problem in this case.
We are talking about 5000 years of alternate history - so pretty much anything goes. The Moirai are kind of out-of-gender beings and if the creators of the show want the Furies as lesbian battle bikers, who cares?
The only truly "woke" element in the show is the fact that 2 out 3 "important" humans are talentless nobodies devoid of merit. And that's the essence of wokeism - it's the dictatorship of the useless.
Yep. Far from perfect but it is good.
People keep saying that and I just find it hard to believe.
She is phenomenally bad in the RoP.
How? What did he do?
Well, I hope it's true... But at the same time I know I'm gonna miss all the hilarious YouTube vids about this crap show.
A little less of that. She obviously has seen all the memes.
Unfortunately she is a terrible actress and can't fully control her face, so...
She tries but fails. She is phenomenally bad in this show.
I also think Clark saw all those memes and really tried to control her face. Unfortunately it didn't always work and, what's worse, the directors and editors still included all her weird grimaces into final cuts.
Imagine someone used an AI to make a gangbang video of your mom.
This is what modern entertainment does again and again with the most beloved stories of our culture.
But that's not even the worst thing. The worst thing is that it's always made badly by arrogant and condescending talentless hacks. And when you point out that what they create is shit, they call you racist or misogynist or something else.
No change. At some point I just started looking at designs and costumes more or less ignoring the nonsense happening on the screen.
The directors and editors still seem to hate Clark - and many of her weird grimaces made it into the final version.
Peter Mullen is still the only one who shines and manages to fill his every scene with meaning.
Ciaran Hinds (the other real actor) seem to be in this just for the paycheck.
Never have I thought I'd be fast-forwarding an HBO show based on ASOIAF.
In some scenes you can actually feel good actors struggling to do SOMETHING with an unbearably meh script.
I wonder which movie director would be that suicidal.
I admit, it's a well crafted trailer, but I doubt the season will be any better because it's obvious the show's creators do not understand why what they do is bad television.
No. Harfoots are sort of proto-Hobbits because the show's creators have no actual creativity and cannot imagine any adaptation of Tolkien's work without Hobbits.
Some of them are illogically diverse because these people seem to think that DEI is what makes art good.
Clearly not. The composition was different.
And, frankly, no one would stage a world event performance based on a painting of a not very famous 17th century Dutch artist.
It's like saying, that, if the Jews weren't actually baking the matzah bread with Christian babies' blood, they wouldn't be upset when someone libeled them.
I feel like there is a lot of projection. Camps, for example.
