The Prophets and the Furies could have been more interesting had they sought out good actors for the roles. Instead they settled for generic woke tokenism casting. What was once considered progressive is now eye rolling cringy..

We are talking about 5000 years of alternate history - so pretty much anything goes. The Moirai are kind of out-of-gender beings and if the creators of the show want the Furies as lesbian battle bikers, who cares?
The only truly "woke" element in the show is the fact that 2 out 3 "important" humans are talentless nobodies devoid of merit. And that's the essence of wokeism - it's the dictatorship of the useless.
The show is modernized and Americanized. But, you have no problem with that! Eye rolls.

What does diversity have to do with bad casting?. I don't care if the Furies and Prophets were black, brown, yellow...purple, orange or little green men from Mars. I was complaining about how uncompelling and boring the actors cast were. And they were uncompelling and boring because the woke studios prioritize silly things like skin pigmentation, genitalia and sexual preference over talent.
Diversity in the entertainment is really cool if your into identity politics but by itself it doesn't fill seats. Good writing and talent does that.
I'll say this only once, because I hate having to say it.
I wouldn't mind "woke" casting if the people they casted were attractive. It's like they are casting the ugliest people they can find.
Ugly is the new beautiful, apparently. We're not allowed to want conventionally/classically attractive people.
