Because that's not what the story is about. You asked, why I notice these things. I was raised in the USSR where it was compulsory to connect just about any work of art to Marxism-Leninism and the great leadership of the Party. Not just art, mind you. There were doctorates with titles like "The quantum entanglement theory and the XXII Congress of the Communist party". The so-called woke culture is exactly the same. Only no one is enforcing this new dangerous nonsense. These people simply cannot help themselves. I probably wouldn't have noticed this if they didn't try to stuff this nonsense up our throats. Two sophisticated scientist ladies humiliating an innocently friendly guy who asks if they want to sing in a karaoke bar. Did we need this scene? I don't think so. But the worst was when the European woman was telling her friend about this horrible problem that's driving her mad and that she went to see a neurologist. The friend asks: "What did he say?" and the other one primly corrects her "she". Are there really people who care about this crap in life and death situations? It's clear the creators don't really care about science fiction. Modern politics and boring relationships is what they are interested in. I am not a fan of the books. And after 2 eps gotta say that the show is mediocre. If there was a way to take away his membership card, I would. Season one was solid old school fun. Season two was just plain boring. Which is a shame. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZqWng8a2yGE The idea is to make TV shows and movies that people want. Instead of making stuff a few "creators" think people should want. No Please explain how is this "Hitlerism"? Too late. I understand that your country's history is very short and rather uneventful but you can't be this ignorant. There are real tyrants and real uprisings in the world, real evil. History is filled with all that stuff and most of the world is misgoverned and backward. A handful of vandals and a bunch of people who strolled in to take a selfie do not make a coup. Some alternative physics in season 2 but it's about the actresses, who are clearly not trained enough. The story is solid - these people are supposed to have mad combat skills. Well, it's morally colour/gender coded. The only good "white cis-gendered man"(TM) is weak and indecisive. But it's well made and the story is engaging enough so I let it slide. It's a solid, well-made movie but not one of those either the director or the star will be remembered for. Sure but they are all bad people. Cultural bias often trumps beliefs (real or proclaimed). The Winston in the movies is also a Roma, if we are to believe the last couple of minutes of the last movie. That's not what I meant at all. He is a good and compassionate guy, but he did some hardcore partying and could simply not remember if he went a bit too far on an occasion. "Harlots"? Have you been transported here from the 17th century or something? All these drugs he did... Can he even remember all his parties?
