One of my great great grandfathers was born when his father was fifty. His youngest sister was born when their father was 60. That father's father-in-law was about 61 when his youngest child was born. According to an answer to this question:
astronomers realized that the giant planets didn't have solid surfaces in the 1920s and 1930s. The Alan Lee painting looks more like the description than the movie set does. It has black(ish) colums, a ceiling with some type of vault (And the novel doesn't mention which type of vault it had), and the ceiling is yellow or gold colored. The throne room in the movie doesn't have pillars or columns. It has piers, with rectangular cross sectionsre, which have engaged half column sattached to the sides. That is a major deviation from Alan Lee's painting and from the description. Look at the photo of somone entering the hall in a movie scene from the Return of the KIng, 2003, included here:
https://middleeartharchitectures.wordpress.com/2014/08/24/the-kings-hall-minas-tirith/ It shows the piers with half columns attached. And it also shows the walls continuing high above the arches. There is space for windows or archways into second floor spaces in those walls, though I haven't found a picture which makes it clear whether they are windows tot he outside or archways into other interior spaces. But the description says that the hall was lit by the windows in the high side aisles, and doesn't mention any other windows such as those that b might be above the aisles. And if there are second story rooms or a corridor above the aisles, they would have windows, and some of their light would pass into the throne hall. Tolkien's description implies that the side aisles are as tall as the central space, and that Pippin can see the golden color of the side aisle ceilings as well as in the central space. If the side ailes were as tall as the center, and the ceiling was supported by slender pillers instead by thicker piers, the side ailse ceilings would be visible and the gold color of the ceiling properly prominent in the color scheme. My reply dated Nov. 7, 2021 lists the actors without death dates in the Internet Movie Database (IMDB) Harry Dean Stanton is listed as "Gant Henchman (uncredited)" in IMDB. That means he was not listed as an actor in either opening or closing credits. So IMDB must have other sources of information about the countless thousands of uncredited actors and extras they list for various movies. I am assuming that they have accurate sources of some types for their lists of uncredited performers. I note that the child and teenage actors who I list as still alive, Herbert Maneval, Stanley Livingston, and Kim Charney, are all in the section of uncredited actors listed alphabetically, like Harry Dean Stanton. Harry Dean Stanton is listed as born July 14, 1926 and died September 15, 2017 age 91 so he is no longer a living actor. I just checked the list of credited actors in IMDB. Those without death dates include Carroll Baker, May 28, 1931 and Russ Tamblyn, Dec. 30, 1934. The people without death dates in the list of uncredited actors include Robert Banas Sept. 22, 1933; Kim Charney Aug. 2, 1945: Ben Black Elk, Sr. (who is probably dead by now); Barry Harvey (who is probably dead by now); Stanley Livingston Nov. 24, 1950: Herbert Maneval July, 1946; Jim Michael (iv) (who is probably dead by now); Red Perkins b. August 18, 1920 (who would be 101 if he is actually still alive); Jamie Ross May 4, 1939; and William Wellman Jr. Jan. 20, 1937. Ben Black Elk Sr. is dead:
11-05-2021 In "Pete's Wife" they find out that Pete's wife is alive and invite her to visit the mansion and pick up Pete's scout handbook. Pete is dissappointed that his daughter didn't arrive and someone mentions that it is four hour drive from Philadelphia. So if the driving speed on the highways is still 55 miles per hour, the location should be within 220 miles of Philadelphia - which of course is large city with an even larger metropolitian area. According to Google Maps, Philadelphia is about 200 miles from Albany in a straight line. So if the Woodstone estate is somewhere in the Hudson River Valley between NYC and Albany the distance would be about correct. Yes, but for some reason Simon Wincelberg couldn't use his real name, Jewish or not, for some of the scripts he wrote. I think that Brimfire was right that there was some sort of contractual obligation which prevented him from (openly) writing for other shows using his real name during some periods. When Gene L. Coon left as producer of Star Trek in 1968 he signed up with another show and signed a contract forbidding him for writing for other shows, including Star Trek. But he did write a few episode for Star trek after that, using the pen name of Lee Cronin. Another movie Irwin Allen & his special effects peiple might have seen was The Mysterians (1957) with their underground base. Of course there could be some sort of mechaism to slid a lid over the shark tank. And Maybe something was rigged up to signal when the sub made a violent maneuver and trigger the mechanism to slid the lid over the shark tank and keep water from spilling. There were probably a bunch of other places on the sub where such a mechanisim would be useful when the sub made sudden maneuver. Of course if someone was walking a shark at the time and the lid slid fast, it might cut them in half. Today you can probably look up the first episode on the internet and watch it and see what happens in it. Obviously, You Shouldn't Do That on Television or You Mustn't Do That on Television would have been much more correct and c accurate titles. Today, sept. 18, 2021 I did some more checking. According to IMDB, The sons of Katie Elder was released on 24 June, 1965.
And it was filmed from 5 January to March, 1965.
Tom Eldar, the elder Elder, was portrayed by jhn Wayne who was born May 6, 1907 and so was still 57 when filming.
Tom Elder was portrayed by Dean Martin who was born June 7, 1917 and was still 47 when filming.
Matt Elder was portrayed by Earl Holliman who was born September 11, 1928 and was 36 when filming.
Bud Elder, the junior Elder, was portrayed by Michael Anderson Jr. who was born August 6, 1943 and was 21 during filming.
So if Katie Elder was at least 15 when John Elder ws born, she would have been at least 51 when Bud Elder was born 36 years later. Which is perfectly possible but rather rare. If movie characters are always the same ages as the actors who portray them. But it is common for movie and tv actors to older than their characters. So it is perfectly possible that John Elder is much less elder than Budd Elder than John Wayne was older than Michael Anderson Jr. This other thread about the ages of the Elders has many comments.
https://moviechat.org/tt0059740/The-Sons-of-Katie-Elder/58c726b75ec57f0478ef1fd5/ages-of-the-sons </url. Some discussed whether Bud said in one scene that he was "almost 18" or "over 18". Another pointed out that the tombstone of Bass Elder in the funeral scene said that he lived from 1834-1898, and his death was said to be six months earlier. So the movie happens in 1898 or early 1899, only 63 to 65 years after Bass Elder was born, and Bud should have been born about 1879-1882. And it seems to me that statements in the script are more important and more intended by the creators than the dates on props, and the dates on props are more important and more intended by the creators than the ages of the movie stars, who are usually hired to portray characters because of their box office draw, not because of being age or otherwise appropriate. On sept. 2 2021, I saw The last Adventure again. Lena levitated May and June as well as Violet and her self. And I stilldidn'tseewhathappeend to della Duck. Maybe she was still at the controls of the plane and wasn't sucked out of the rear of the plane. Thank you.
