I don't care who sleeps with who or what color they are, thats not my issue with it, them just throwing it in there to check a box is my issue. You gotta admit that felt totally shoehorned in there and served no purpose at all, like what did an in the closet officer add to the story? remove it and it doesn't affect the story at all.
If it served an important part of the story fine, but it felt completely pointless and just in there to check a box.
Yeah and i think the cherry on top of that family scene, at the end of it we pan out and realize Henry and Otis are watching it on tv after the act has already been committed. They're legit just watching it as entertainment like a tv show, and after it ends Otis begins rewinding and says he wants to watch it again. Which even Henry seems confused by, honestly Otis seems way more fucked up than Henry in alot of ways.
Henry is a heartless killer, but Otis is way more depraved about it and enjoys it more, Henry will brutally kill you, but Otis will sexually assault them and play with them and endlessly wanna see it over and over again. Henry felt like a killer was just who he was, but he wasn't happy about it, he looked very cold and depressed almost all the time, but killing was just in his nature and he accepted it. Otis just felt like a kid in a candy store whenever he killed, then he would just go on to drink a beer at home with his sister like nothing even happened.
Exactly, its the only way its ever gonna get accomplished if people keep calling it out, it'll take years sadly, like you said its gonna take time but people gotta keep strong and keep calling it out whenever its present and let people see its a problem and needs to be stopped.
We need Hollywood to get back to telling good stories and not having an agenda when writing a script and forcing a gay character into every single piece of content thus effecting the story because they gotta check a box for their representation agenda.
See years ago movies and shows used to be pure and have no agenda and it was 100% about telling a story and not pandering to a specific group of people who like to sleep with the same sex instead of focusing on the best story possible. I don't care people can sleep with whoever they want but keep that fucking shit out movies and tv shows unless its 100% necessary for the story which in most cases its not.
Its legit in every piece of content now, and its always forced and obvious as hell what they're doing. I like the Gordan Ramsay show Hells Kitchen, the cooking reality show, and this season they had a ton of gay people in it, like 50% of the women was gay and looked like dudes and a chunk of the guys was gay too. And its not like they was just randomly chosen either, producers whoever specifically said "We need alot of gay representation this season".
I just hate this era of woke, its taking over everything and everyone has to love it and go "awww look how progressive we are with the representation".
I just thought he looked like a hillbilly with the gaped teeth and the sraggly look of his body and facial hair, i live in the Appalachian region and see a ton of guys who look like him. But redneck works as well, as you said some traits crossover between them.
Did i say he was a good guy and right about how he acted? no, but what he was mad about was fair points, her husbands been dead like a week and shes got a new man in her bed, thats a terrible person. He shouldn't have pulled up with a gun and yelling, but watching it before he showed up i was thinking the same shit.

Yeah i get that, but i will say this show is really good and has a really intriguing continuing story going on in the main story, i feel like the show does a good job of balancing the weekly cases and the main story pretty well. Like half the episode will be about the "Monster of the week" so to speak and the other half is progressing the overall main story of the show.
So not a fan of shows that have the monster of the week episodes like Supernatural i take it? You want a show that focuses on 1 single story throughout? like True Detective?
Almost every episode involves a standalone case that gets resolved in 1 episode, theres a continuing overall story going on of course, but each episode they get handed a new case to investigate that gets wrapped up in 1 episode. Kinda like X-Files.
