Mister Babadook's Replies

Hottest mommy and daughter duo i've seen in a long time. Honestly i would love that, some wacky sequels taking the concept and just exploring different angles of it, i could see them being really fun B movie body horror movies. He saw Joel kill the gang members, thats when it was passed on to him, which is why you hear Joel saying to him "I didn't know anyone else was here, i didn't mean for you to get it, i'm sorry" then he runs out and gets ran over. So he didn't need to see Joel die cause Joel had already passed it on to him when he killed the gang members infront of him. You're probably right, cause she delivered her message with this perfectly, selfishly i'd just like to see another one to get more info on the people who make The Substance and that whole mysterious network of people. Cause we never see anyone on that side of thing just a mysterious voice on the phone. Misdirection how? its not like the two little kids could be The Strangers. Again they made that entire town over the top creepy and weird, no one acted like a normal human being. Subtlety was non existent in this movie. Yeah i know John was at the Governor's Mansion, i was talking about when we see Beth and Kayce go back to the Yellowstone and Summer's not there. Yeah, Jamie even cried for him after he was killed, cause after all the shit John put him through he still loved him like a father. And at the end of Part 1 of Season 5 John was discussing with Beth about having Jamie taken to the train station, so John was gonna agree to have him killed cause he knew about all his dirty secrets and the murders he committed. And i seriously doubt John would have shed a tear over Jamie being killed. How so many see Jamie as the despicable villain in this show is beyond me. Yeah he fucked up as a teenager when he took Beth to the clinic, but he was a dumb kid, he didn't maliciously intend to take Beth's chance at motherhood away, and shes tortured and bullied him ever since. You act as if John is a saint, he was a murderer, a criminal, and likely had over a hundred men murdered and tossed over a hill. He made Jamie become a lawyer for the sole purpose of getting him and the family out of trouble and to help keep his throne, he never told him he loved him, and couldn't even bring himself to say he loved him like he does his actual kids. I'm sorry but Jamie has every right to feel the way he does. The better version may not be en exact clone of yourself when you was younger, but i get the feeling birthmarks carry over like the eye color does. How else do you explain the birthmark on the the dudes hand being on both the old and and the younger version? As for why the younger version doesn't get rid of it i mean its just a way to show Elizabeth they're the same person, its not much deeper than that. Its a birthmark, therefore he had it even when he was younger, so it makes sense it would still be there on the other self, its not an imperfection due to age or damage thats been done to you. Totally agree, the ending of episode 2 when the one woman walks over the line, man i'm hooked now, after that legit anyone will be hooked and have to know whats going. Yeah it was pretty obvious what they was doing there, making the man all weak and pathetic and useless while the woman was strong and resilient and bad ass who kills all the bad guys herself. Theres even a moment where the husband breaks down crying in the middle of the end when they're being attacked going "I'm so sorry its all my fault!" and he nearly goes into the fetal position, and of course the strong woman has to grab him and tell the stupid useless man his family needs him and even then he's still useless. We get it Hollywood, Man=Bad, Woman=Good. Ok thanks. Dylan pointing a gun at Jess was all about him covering up the identity of the baby's real father that was possibly in those secret journals they burnt, so his family could keep the baby. He was just trying to scare Jess so she wouldn't talk to the cops anymore and help them find out DJ's real father. Him disappearing at 2am i think was just like he said, he needed to get away and drive and smoke some weed, but since Erin was killed that night telling the cops that would make him look really guilty, so he just said he was home all night and never left. The Killing is very similar to this with lots of cliffhangers at the end of each episode, and a blue collar woman detective solving the murder of a young girl and gets paired with a new detective she doesn't really get along with right away. Kept thinking of The Killing the entire time watching this, i highly recommend checking that out. I just don't see Kayce taking a backseat as a background character after John dying, he is the eldest son with the future of the family with Tate, Beth can't have kids, Rip is popular but he's a ranch hand and not really a Dutton. Yeah thats also another shitty thing about this, he left Yellowstone to go and make those awful Horizon movies which as you said ended up flopping. So he left the show for nothing at the end of the day to make some shitty forgettable movies that no one will ever talk about again. Whereas Yellowstone is a huge tv show and will be remembered for a long time, and will have spinoffs etc. He really fucked up big time cause he thought he could go be a big time movie star again. Luke Grimes is 2nd billing after Costner and has been since the start, plus he's got the family with Tate who John has always talked about inheriting the place, he's the one character who isn't a huge piece of shit as well outside of Rip. Even if he's not got a huge story arc atm, he's still technically the 2nd lead and makes the most since to lead the show. Thats what they're gonna have to do with Costner not returning, i imagine it opens with them announcing his death showing some closed casket maybe and we are told what happened to him. Still gonna suck beyond believe thats how it ends for his character after all this time and without any kind of reaction to his death from Rip or Beth just showing a time jump and seeing the aftermath. I guess the idea person to take lead of the show is Kayce/Luke Grimes, since he is the 2nd lead of the show. I imagine he will inherit the Yellowstone and we'll follow him as the star. Yeah the show is popular for its high intensity chaos in the kitchen and showing the inner struggles of it, yet we spend 90% of this season out of the kitchen and doing character study episodes and people talking about their feelings. And yeah they made a big deal about wanting to get a star and we see no story progression on that or emphasis on it, every episode feels like some filler isolated episode that could be removed from the season and nothing would be lost to the story.
