Did they use the Scream 4 glare filter for this or what?
Cause both movies have this awful bright glaring filter with everything looking washed.
shareIt's called diffusion filter, and in Scream 4 it was used to hide wrinkles and bad plastic surgery of the aging stars. I haven't seen this movie, but judging from the still frames this movie also overdid the effect.

I actually like the filter used in Scream 4, reminds me of mid 2000’s Spielberg.
Where did you hear that it was to cover up ageing stars?
It's a joke, but I have read that older A level actresses in the 40s and 50s routinely asked cameramen to rub some more vaseline on the lens for their close up shots 🙃
