Is this a procedural?
Like Lucifer
shareNo, it has some sustaining themes but most of the cases are solved in one episode.
shareThat's a procedural. Standalone episodes.
shareNo, procedurals involve solving one case over a series of episodes. Examples - Broadchurch, Happy Valley, True Detective, etc
shareSo is this one case over an episode?
shareAlmost every episode involves a standalone case that gets resolved in 1 episode, theres a continuing overall story going on of course, but each episode they get handed a new case to investigate that gets wrapped up in 1 episode. Kinda like X-Files.
shareOk, thanks. Had it on my watchlist, but now I'm not interested anymore.
shareSo not a fan of shows that have the monster of the week episodes like Supernatural i take it? You want a show that focuses on 1 single story throughout? like True Detective?
shareI just can't get into shows that have a monster of the week episodes anymore. I used to like them, but now I prefer shows that have a continuing story.
shareYeah i get that, but i will say this show is really good and has a really intriguing continuing story going on in the main story, i feel like the show does a good job of balancing the weekly cases and the main story pretty well. Like half the episode will be about the "Monster of the week" so to speak and the other half is progressing the overall main story of the show.
