I like your analogy but I always thought the good/bad/ugly element coexisted between all of them dependent on their circumstances in any given scene, at times they was all good, bad or ugly throughout although arguably Angel Eyes was the worst of all. Btw the grave was Arch Stanton not Spencer. :)

When you consider its the same writer and director its hard to believe how poor this film is compared to the first. This is purely a standalone film with only the merest of nods to the first in being that its what happened 4 years later but other then that it has no relevance to the first. Would of been good to see the girl at least from the first one playing the lead girl in this to show some connection.

I think it was because the parachute covering of the nose cone came away, they expected little resistance with the thinner atmosphere with that in place but it broke its tether and that slowed the ship down ever so slightly thus put the projections off so couldn't quite reach him in time.
