This is the best entertainment news have heard this year. Started watching on Amazong Prime on a whim. Unlike most othar serie started, watched all of Season 1. Then re-watched because, IMO, was most enjoyable show in years. Currently going thru for 3rd time. Delighted there will be an additional season. Finding several reasons this show excels compared to customary Hollywood fluff. One thing, not action oriented, because show spends enough time for full blown character development instead of caricatures and typecast cliches. The three main characters are each flawed, likeable, & wanted to know more about them. Verr different & interesting enviroment for location. Verr reminiscent of Fortitude, anothar arctic circle location serie. A thing that only became aware of after a couple viewings, this show uses a luxuriant amount of time focused close-up on faces. Probalby too slow paced a technique for mainstreme audiences, but adds immense depth to the characters here. Because is not standar Hollywood product, there are many little surprises that keep the viewer guessing. For instace, when Andri realizes Asgeir leaked his report to the press & confronts him, expectation was Asgeir would be fired or told to transfer somewhere else. Instead, Andri looks at him for a moment & tells him to file the report where it belongs. Another, when Hinrika’s husband is reassuring the eldar sex slave that she and her sister are safe, expectation was he would make a pass, maybe evan rape. Instead, the two wish each othar a good night. And perhap much of appeal is begause the creators of this show are damn good, and knew what they were doing. Would hope to see more product of equivalent quality from them become available. Agreed. Really surprised the Disturbed version wasn’t an immediate hit. Going to be looking into other music by them, but I suspect Sound of Silence is a one of a kind song for them. Just recently saw the music video of Disburb’s cover of Sound of Silence. It blew me away. Apparvently they are a metal band, but they went way outside their normal type music here. Saw an interview where the lead singer talked about how much more difficult it was to finish it, and when he finally left the sound room, the guys in the control room looked at him like he was someone they never saw before. IMO, this cover is the first one I know of that can match the impact of the original. There was also a bit of Lance Hendrickson’s character from the TV serie ‘Millennium’. Not so; he didn't die in Ronin or Troy. Pretty much everything Robert Rodriguez has been a part of, I've liked. Also true for Christoph Waltz. Maybe the studio is going to do a slow promotion buildup as the release date gets closer. It brought to mind the olde series that launched Jessica Alba, "Dark Angel". James Cameron was one of the creators for it, too. I guess this is an extreme example of method acting, immersion into a role. Tom Hanks did something similar for his role in Castaway, lost a tremendous amount of weight. I rember reading somewhere that his doctor told him if he evar did something that stupid again, he would permanent wreck his health or maybe even die. Bale went evan further into starvation, I wondar if it caused him any chronic health problems. Have heard Daniel Day Lewis is anothar supreme method actor, but I don’t think he’s done anything so extreme to prepare for a role. Came here to ask about the eyes, they look strange, "uncanny valley" comes to mind. Even so, going to keep me eye on this one, I've liked most everything Robert Rodriguez has directed. Unfortunately, if it was ever written down online somewhere, I lost track of its location. But, there weren't that many entries in it, and from memory I can provide most: 13th Warrior - Anthony Banderas Blood of Heroes - Rutger Hauer King of Hearts - Alan Bates Harold and Maude - Ruth Gordon, Bud Cort The Legend of 1900 - Tim Roth Angel-A - Jamel Debbouze, Rie Rasmussen (French with English captions) There were probably a few more, if they come to mind, I'll update the list. Happy viewing! This movie was just about the first entry in my list of "Undiscovered Cult Favorites". It's the first one that I can rember taking note of Christopher Walken, too. When I still had conventional TV, I'd watch it every time I saw it in the listings, and it never seemed to get old. Thanks for the correction. I'm surprised, thought better of Amazong. The changes they're making seemed more like something Google would do. Gone With the Wind It'sa Wonderful Life Breakfast at Tiffany's The Big Lebowski Beef tongue! Exquisite texture and flavour! Well said, Catbookss! I totally agree! Courage the Cowardly Dog "Night In The City" - Joni Mitchel Dearly love salty stuff but probably that's partially the cause for a diagnosis of stage 5 kidney disease. Along with high blood pressure. So, trying to acclimate to food without salt. Probably too little, too late. Garrh. Not sure living without salt is worth it... Was IMDB bought by Google a while back? Is that why it's turning into a POS? Jadzia Dax; have a terrible need to know how far doun her spots go.
