The Harry Potter books have already been made into major successful films so there ain’t much point in the BBC trying to obtain the rights or make a TV show based on them.
Just seems a bit pointless in my opinion
Matilda
Actually I didn’t buy it my dad bought it:
I remember being super stoked; it wasn’t the actual movie per-say I was more excited by the novelty of having a DVD because it was a new technology back then.
Most people were still using VHS, and whilst you couldn’t play DVDs on the TV yet I’d never seen a movie on a PC screen before and that was quite novel at the time.
As far as the first movie I, myself actually bought on DVD first I don’t remember.
Michael Viners Incredible Bongo Band- Apache
(Original 'The Shadows')
Eruption- Runaway
(Original by 'Del Shannon')
Chilly- For your love
(Original 'The Yarbirds')
I agree on Lord of the Rings, J.R. Tolkien isn't my cup of tea in general though.
I don't really get the big deal with Hitchcock's Psycho either, I mean the shower scene is classic but the rest of the movie is tedious and boring and terribly out dated.
Over here in the UK, most of our shows have only 6 episodes a series so 9-10 sounds pretty reasonable if you ask me.
I mostly use MP3s but I also collect vinyl records.
MP3 I use more often because it's a more practical format.
Never got into music streaming, I prefer owning an actual copy of song's
Nah:
Philip Pullman isn't really my cup of tea.
Big Brother!
I hate that show and was quite pleased when Channel 5 got round to pulling the plug on that dreary depressing rubbish.
Being forced to sit and watch that none stop would be torture
Not even if it's like the sort of woman I described?
^This^
Have you read the original books Allaby?
I've got a phobia of
Rats
Flying Rats aka Pigeons
Dogs
Houses with outdated decor
I had to turn down looking after a kindly old ladies cat because her house grosses me out, she's a nice person but it looks like her house was last decorated in about 1974 and the old furniture and garish carpets and horrible wallpaper just makes me feel like I'm going to get a disease.
Oddly enough I'm fine looking round National Trust houses and a lot of that stuff is probably from a lot before 1970 whatever.
Sure are:
Brilliant news for me, finally something trending on here that I actually have a opinion on and enjoy reading what people have to say being a big James Bond fan and all that.
Well if it was only lets say for 10 minutes at the start of the movie as a one off one time deal then what's the big deal?
Well we'll have to wait and see
Although with all the SJW wokeness crap going on I wouldn't be surprised if Lynch does become the replacement for Bond in future movies
I have a huge collection of vinyl:
I agree with the OP, I actually don’t think vinyl sounds better I just find it to be a more fun medium over digital.
I’m probably a bit of an outsider preference wise though, the bulk of my collection is Disco, Funk and Soul stuff from the 70s and 80s.
The Eagles and a Crow
Is it a bird themed Rock concert?
lol
The reviews seem quite positive generally, I’m finding it hard to get enthusiastic about it though to be honest.
The AI angle just sounds lame and I can’t get rid of the feeling that my favorite horror franchise has been ripped off.
Instead of making a black guy James Bond: since Felix Leiter has been established as a black guy by Jeffery Wright why not cast Idris Elba as Felix Leiter and give the Felix Leiter character a bigger role in the movies?
They could alternatively (to not take the spotlight from Bond) make a few spin off movies about Felix Leiter, sort of Bond but not Bond movies where this time Felix saves the world from the baddies.
Since you got some folks who go on about Bond being black and stuff I think this might be a fair compromise and alternative
