I bought two first time I bought DVDs.
They were Jeremiah Johnson and To Kill a Mockingbird.

EDIT: Oops, sorry, I didn't realize that I had already answered this question on this thread three months ago.
Oh well, at least my answer was the same.

I don't remember, but here are some fun facts :

The first cinematic feature film commercially released on DVD was Twister. Twister was pressed and released for sale in DVD format on 25th March 1997.

The first DVD that Disney released was a DVD version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Actually I didn’t buy it my dad bought it:

I remember being super stoked; it wasn’t the actual movie per-say I was more excited by the novelty of having a DVD because it was a new technology back then.

Most people were still using VHS, and whilst you couldn’t play DVDs on the TV yet I’d never seen a movie on a PC screen before and that was quite novel at the time.

As far as the first movie I, myself actually bought on DVD first I don’t remember.
