More original takes up in this miserable ass - redgressive favorite - place. (Them being original is sarcasm, yes.) Meh pfft Good to know the majority disagrees! Not on these negativity-loving (reich wing infested) boards obviously, but most fans outside here. But yeah, damn fine film. Would be cool to see Wright direct an MCU film, sure, but this Ant-Man was the bomb! You brought it, Peyton Reed! And thanks for bringing along the one and only Gregg Turkington, his brief appearance as Dale is a highlight. Can’t lie either… I loved him too! (As well as the fragile red pill babybro target that is Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, which was another Marvel win.) What do you know? XD I mean, damn that Majors killed it! [But here we go again] Ok, while I am one of those who thought he acted the role like he was meant to *gasps* and was effective overall, I can understand why he was off-putting to some. Alone you’re definitely not. That said, all those praising him are just trying to justify supposed bad acting by a terrific actor in this role? Hehe. No, we argue this is simply the performance that was needed. A very old and very tired being who’s goofy and eccentric? The popular opinion you find unpopular: he performed the way he needed to which was appropriately very over-the-top. Nay? Well, I say the clown training this talented actor (yes, he made a name for himself acting in serious roles) received at Yale certainly came in handy even if those like you believe he was… not right. But, we’ll see if those future variants will be acted like you feel they shouldn’t by him even though this actor knew what he was going for as this variant. What he brought to this role/variant was very specific. Now you can disagree all you want and say that I sound like everyone you’ve seen on Facebook (surprised he’s been received well over there, whereas in this “oh-so happy” joint you’ll find many are naturally with you), but I have no doubt the acting and range he will show later down the road will prove some of his current detractors wrong. As such, looking forward to seeing him NAIL it as the other variants/Kang like he is supposed to — again! ;) That is… LIT! Looks like a blast, delightfully and appropriately bonkers True - didn’t like her in this myself. Though I did appreciate the episodes better than some did, the criticism directed at Kaia’s acting is completely warranted (I thought she looked bad even in the trailer). Not someone I’m looking forward to seeing again in the show. Yeah, basically! XD Dude couldn’t catch a single break in this. What a film tho Ok Milo… Ben, Charlie, Marjorie, etc. Now Disney’s dedicated haters nowadays (especially on reich wing-infested boards like these) — the same hideous and loser as fuck babyman (usually mediocre white reactionary bros and hos - naturally!) who have constant meltdowns over the entertainment industry today, like so much of society, thankfully not appeasing the ‘back in my day’ pricks who apparently had it good for so long in their privileged/bubbled asshole existence. Yes, the legit fragile babyman that only exist to spew shit and impress no one but themselves Keep making these neckbeard klowns mad, Disney. Yeah…. this board, no, this whole site is the very last place one should try to make a sane point like this. I mean, it’s useless in a site that’s infested with legit fear-mongering and paranoid red pill manbabies (in short, reich wingers). Props to you, though! At least there’s SOME non-regressive, non-drumpfdouchebro people around (in the minority but still). It can happen for sure :/ Well, hating is the kewl thing around here. Regarding what you said about ‘Widow though… or it’s actually because the Fast & Furious franchise isn’t a franchise based on… comic books? You know, properties filled with super powered and otherworldly beings who have always been able to do the impossible? The Fast & Furious series started out as a relatively grounded franchise with high stakes but now you got a seemingly normal guy like Dom (a guy who can utter the word “family” and become freaking Superman) lifting a damn building with his bare hands? Please! I know there are genuine fans of Fast & Furious (who know how ridiculous every installment has become) that thought this movie took things way too far even for this franchise. And sure, at least the spin-off already gave us an enhanced human. However, the Fast crew are capable of performing these very absurd things when they’re supposed to be “real” characters? Lmao. Yes, it’s called suspension of disbelief (necessary for the action genre especially). But when a franchise like this basically goes from Point Break to Mission Impossible on steroids (killing any verisimilitude), it’s hard to go with the flow. This franchise certainly had to evolve, oh yes, but at this point it’s become like a parody of itself. But hey, after this messy movie, I doubt disappointed audiences who will continue to go see these movies will ever complain about its ridiculousness as it’s become clearer than ever that there’s zero rules in this franchise. Oh, and if Tyrese had done what David and Scarlett did in their film, people would complain about Tyrese? Well, first of all, David’s character is established as a superhuman. That guy is supposed to do the impossible. And while Scarlett’s character may be a normal human compared to many of the heroes in that universe, she’s still a character from the comic universe and it was established a long time ago in her franchise that her character can do “ridiculous” (awesome) things. What’s more, the scenes you mentioned were no more absurd (unrealistic is the word, cuz they were executed far better than anything in Fast 9) than so many action scenes in Marvel or DC films. As is, Tyrese in his movie doing the same thing? Well, at this point there’s evidently zero verisimilitude in his movies. Yet, I 100% guarantee you the majority of audiences (including those who don’t care for something like Black Widow) would be laughing their asses off if they saw his character (a character who IS treated like a joke) doing anything like that. And rightfully so! Double standards? Nice try, but no XD This particular Harbour 100% does. And a many people would agree, yes. But all the lifeless unhinged reich wing maga chuds that have made him their target like they they’ve targeted/cry about the many actors (Hollywood in general), public figures (plus any sane non-regressive person) who aren’t “grrrr being against racism, bigotry, and the straight conservative ‘alpha’ white dude agenda that’s been pushed forever is woke pc agenda” maga loons? Typical fake news-spreading klanservative lunatics who love to project. Goes without saying that this place is infested with these loser magababy chuds. But keep doing your thing, David (and all the non-reich wingers that constantly trigger the red pee scum). You know you’re on the GOOD side of things when you trigger these con kkklowns Why does it matter? The projecting misinformation-spreading brainless fascist manbaby Q chuds will be having meltdowns and spreading their tired propaganda regardless, you know what I’m talking about Dee dunce (and all its fellow deranged fragile chuds up in this klan-infested joint). Stay mad, red pee chuds. She wasn’t even considered for Yelena, and tbh I don’t think she should have been. But lol, I remember when everyone (i.e. audiences) wanted to cast Chloe in everything. Yeah, but not me. Hard pass. Now Chloe is cool, but the physicality of the role aside, I cannot imagine her being anywhere near as great (even natural) as Florence was. Florence, a much stronger actesss, was perfection as Yelena and she absolutely owned the role (it’s obvs why Marvel chose her). Glad she’s in this universe and it’s looking like she’s deservingly becoming a much bigger deal. Alright They always come back. We’ll see. Great name btw Imagine if almost everything you see above was actually sarcasm? Yup, but this was IMDb. And now it’s this site called MovieChat, only it’s worse. Buncha reich wing kkkristian fundamentalists spreading their legit propaganda and general stupidity all over this mofo. Dat fear-mongering and fake news they claim happens? It’s reich wing projection 101. As always, thank motherfucking goodness the modern entertainment industry (and many average every day non-bigoted people who clearly don’t feel threatened by the so-called Hollywood agenda the reactionaries cry and fear-monger about 24/7) isn’t looking for the approval of the chuds. And they don’t need it, thank Joe Pesci. P.S. Apart from both MCU and comic Steve Rogers evidently never having been a “true Christian” (that’s what many hypocritical AF hate-mongers who live to spread fear and damn everyone who isn’t like them to hell refer to themselves as), the guy fortunately had many eye-opening experiences since The Avengers. Oh, and if the face behind Cap, Mr. Evans himself, didn’t trigger them enough, looks like many in the religious reich… ask those has-been c list actors and red pill heroes crying about big bad non-racist woke Cap… dont want anything to do with the original Anti-Fascist anymore. Steve Rogers has always been the further thing from a reich wing nationalist like many clueless ‘Muricans who try to claim him as one of their own are. Nuff said Oh yeah it did! (Maybe you would have missed it pandemic or no pandemic.) And not including places like this site, it was a hit with audiences! That’s right, it was embraced by many. Wicked film Ah, the good ol’ top 10/20 list (and yet another unsatisfied customer here, that’s surprising). Welp, I don’t have a top 10 (hard to rank them). But if I did, I would without hesitation include Black Widow in there. Hell, it may be in my top 5! Goddamn right. Loved every minute of it… took ZERO issue with the Taskmaster reveal… and found it very well-crafted, mad exciting, funny (NOT overdone, flowed naturally to me), moving, and perhaps the most visceral MCU film — the EXPERTLY EXECUTED and intense action in it is perhaps already my favorite in any Marvel film, it was handle exactly how I would expect the action to be handled in a film centered on a character like Black Widow. Now no doubt you had problems with everything about the action, but lol at those I’ve seen call it unrealistic. Good to know the action is RIGHTFULLY being praised by many, though (to hell with hate). What’s more, I’ll unabashedly say I prefer it to some of the more epic (universally praised) entries in the MCU. Yeah, I was that not disappointed with it! And Florence was fantastic and most certainly deserves all the praise she’s getting, but all the main players completely delivered (go ScarJo!). So the obvs naysayers (usual propagandist chuds) notwithstanding, I couldn’t disagree more with those calling it average or weak— hem, 1000% disagree with you. Not the best send-off for the underutilized Natasha? I can understand where some are coming from with that, but to me this film did her justice even if I DID think they should’ve delved a bit deeper into her origin. So all in all, I consider this more grounded MCU entry a top-tier film, nowhere near the bottom (the audacity). A worthy prequel! But MCU or not, I think it’s great and memorable all on its own. And sure, outside these toxic circles enough folks are echoing the OP’s sentiments, although I echo the sentiments of many others as well. Now unpopular popular opinion up in this always cheery place… almost over. Enjoy all your well-earned success, Black Widow! Nuff said Was absolutely effective. Not the highlight by any means, but served his role well he did. ‘Matter of fact, I thought it was Ray Winstone being Ray Winstone (a familiar baddie performance and I dug it). Oh damn, not negative like one is supposed to be up in this joint. All’s been said. Of course she only got sliced up, ya know. Yeah….
