<< In her mind, the ends justified the means. Her survival was all that mattered to her. >>
Well, that could probably be said for most people, when it comes right down to it. If you're facing the gallows I imagine you'll sacrifice anyone (mothers aside, of course.)
<< Of course many Stewardesses actually do sex work too so it all works out. >>
Many?
Because it’s a bad script, with no explanation.

So you would be fine creating a "shelter" for your child that basically consists of leaves?
I would say the key point of the film is that there comes a time when we learn our parents lives are not ours, and we set out on our own.
I just watched it on youtube when I posted that. I liked the actress who played Ruth much better in that, but the Mary actress wasn't quite as glamorous or magnetic as she should have been.
They're DEAD ? ? ?
Rapping people, long term, can be bad for their ears if the sound level is too high.
81. When a burning vampire throws itself into a creek and is cured, immediately discount that something in that particular water supply may have been a factor. Just scientifically assume it was all about the sun.
82. I didn't turn you because it was convenient, or because of some selfish need for blood. I turned you because you would have died if I didn't.

<< Why drink coffee if they're vampires? It doesn't make any sense... >>
Because even post-vampire apocalypse, Starbucks will still own the world.

<< Not mentally challenged, but incurably vulnetable. >>
She is "vulnerable" because she usually comes across as having the brain of a 4-year-old.

The playwright who wrote this is extremely 1-dimensional. He also wrote WILL SUCCESS SPOIL ROCK HUNTER, which is perhaps even flimsier.
He later adapted some better material, created by others...but those were kind of foolproof properties to begin with.

<< I'll have to agree about Joel McCrea. He's woefully underrated. >>
I have only seen him in SULLIVAN'S TRAVELS. He's really good looking and charismatic. I'm surprised he's not a 1st tier star. I mean, certainly he made a ton of movies and was a top star of his time, but it's not like a lot of the films he was in come immediately to mind today.
I wonder if he turned down some key roles that would have cemented his stature.

<< the main actress is so darn likable >>
She was really good playing a doomed call girl on HOUSE OF CARDS, too. It was a completely different character.

Your c#nting daughter?
Yes.

It’s all so new...almost revolutionary (!)
Is the world READY ? ?

Well, I guess we know where to go if we ever end up in trouble!
Right. Thank you.
Why did they then go to such extraordinary lengths to house him (disrupting their offices) year upon year? It's not like they'd do that for EVERYONE who threw themselves on their mercy! What was the incentive?

Can someone briefly recap what was in it for Ecuador, Re: taking him in?
