I guess some now forgotten part of us thought it might be fun being part of this pale blue dot . That sounds fantastic, I'll try to get it! Thanks for the recommendation. :-) I'm not up to date anyway, still have some of S11 and all of S12 to watch.. :-) If you read it, take the warnings page seriously. I feel slightly traumatized. I'm a bit sensitive, ok, but I read a lot of horror novels in my life and they never managed to disturb me this way. Still, this book is brilliant in a way. I really want to read the other three but I don't think I have the guts. 'Too Like the Lightning' by Ada Palmer, some kind of Sci-Fi that has some rather disturbing stuff going on and I almost quit, but had to pick it up again because it's so intriguing. ---A fan said they had heard that during a scene where Jared died in his arms, when they called cut Jensen continued holding Jared and crying; fan wants to know if that’s true? Jensen admits that it’s true, tries to say he just had something in his eye, though, lol --- Watching Sam and Dean always makes me want to hold them and wish they can be really happy someday, but now I want to hold J2 as well. I'm not even the motherly type.. :-/ Sam & Dean Winchester - just love them and their tight relationship, it's unlike anything else I've seen Alex Krycek (The X Files) - mysterious, you never knew what he was up to (rat-boy..), great dynamic with Mulder, when he showed up it always got interesting, and attractive of course Fox Mulder (The X Files) - hot-headed genius, tenacious, insubordinate, passionate Elliot Alderson (Mr. Robot) - I'm his imaginary friend :-) Spike (BtVS) - always entertaining, insightful, challenging, extreme, fun to watch Buffy Summers (BtVS) - vulnerable but strong, funny, admirable Connor (Angel) - tragic, fascinating, amazing fighting style, interesting dynamic with Angel Tim Riggins (Friday Night Lights) - (self-)destructive but ultimately a kind and good man Coach Taylor (Friday Night Lights) - amazing guy, the Jürgen Klopp of television! Smash Williams (Friday Night Lights) - fighter, I love his zig zag arc and the way it ends almost everyone in 'Battlestar Galactica', especially Lee, Tigh, Roslin and Helo Marissa Cooper (OC California) - troubled but kind, tragic, beautiful Jess Mariano (Gilmore Girls) - a bit like Spike, challenging, funny, insightful Owen Harper (Torchwood) - hard to say why I'm sure I forgot some... Thanks, Virile! Wow, thanks for the link. It's sad that they actually succeeded. People need to boycott this movie. And the movie from Singleton that you talked about, will it definitely be made, or is that not yet decided? OH, I'm sure you're right, for some reason I assumed it was a lake, but I don't know anything about that area. Yeah the brownstone was great as well. :-) Yes, that little house at the lake was a great location as well. Nothing comes close to Alison's house where she lived with Cole though, I'd love a place like that! I couldn't stand the stylish city appartment, but I really like how they use the settings to tell the state of the characters and their relationships in a way. Same with the house that Noah's father left him. Thank you for the information. I just saw the new trailer and to be honest, it kinda spoke to me, they chose the actor well. But still, I can't help but be sceptic about it. They might actually capture him well - not that I could tell, since I didn't get to know him, but what I admire about him, the will to speak up and address certain issues, to fight for what he believes in, talking sense and straight from the heart so it makes you think 'finally someone who just tells it as it is, why are we listening to people in the media talking shit all day?'. But how can these people do him justice if they used the methods that you describe? It's not possible. I'm still in love with the show, especially the Montauk episodes. I just dig that atmosphere. S2 and 3 are nowhere near S1 imo, but both have their good moments. I actually liked the S3 finale for its lack of drama, and it felt really good to see Noah reconnect with his kids. Yeah, who knows what to expect in S4... I'm looking forward to it. Yeah, S2 moves a bit slow sometimes imo, but binge watching helps a lot because you know you can just keep watching and there will happen something incredible soon. But slow or not, every single scene has a certain 'magic', the characters interacting, the unspoken between them, the hidden meanings, the way the scene is visually composed, the use of music - it's just stunning. There are some very good moments in S2. This is what Sam Esmail says about it in an interview ( http://variety.com/2016/tv/news/mr-robot-season-2-finale-sam-esmail-elliot-shot-tyrell-alive-1201867301/ ): --------- Q: Tyrell sounds terrified, though, when he calls Angela. Why was he so scared? S.E.: Tyrell loves Elliot. The interesting thing about Tyrell and Elliot is that they have this bond, this connection. That’s what we set up in that first scene, actually the first time they met in the pilot. They have this relationship where they connect on this much deeper level. Tyrell’s set up as this villain but they’re not in this antagonistic back and forth. They actually have this weird deep bond. That was set up in that first scene in Coney Island when Tyrell tells this story about his father and not wanting to be like him. That resonates with Elliot, and Elliot at the time was Mr. Robot. The way we’ve presented Elliot’s real dad in the past, he was nothing like the Mr. Robot we see in Elliot’s split personality. And it’s a rebellion against everything Elliot’s dad was — a guy who was too weak to fight back against everything Evil Corp was. And Mr. Robot, the side of Elliot’s personality, connected with Tyrell’s rebellion against his father, the fathers they felt were too weak for them. There’s a real bond that formed there. In the end, when Tyrell shot him, he didn’t want to shoot him. He felt like this was a partnership that was on the verge of victory that they were going to complete this Stage Two. And Elliot was going back on it. When he shot him, he was literally in tears. That conversation when he tells Angela that he loves him, it’s true. From Tyrell’s perspective, he really does loves this person. He feels that he gives him the fulfillment that he’s always been looking for in his life. ----------- Apparently S. Esmail doesn't separate Elliot from Mr. Robot when it comes to Tyrell's feelings. They also are genuine and have been set up from the beginning, which makes me curious to see where he'll go with this. ---I've listened to a couple interviews with him and he seems to really listen and take that to heart. Not that he hasn't defended his choices, but it seems him taking this time is his way of recognizing some of last seasons missteps.--- What exactly would these missteps be? I finally managed to watch S2, and while I found it a bit too slow at times, I still love this show and can't find much to criticize. --Now it's a gym. -- The one of my childhood is a solarium. I feel bad everytime I see it. ;-( There are still several in Berlin, and they seem to be doing ok. Until half a year ago I had a good friend in Berlin, and we would often go there and spent hours trying to agree on a movie, lol. But where I live (smaller town) not one has survived, and I miss it a lot. I often think back to those times where I would go there with my sister and spend a lot of time looking at the covers and planning our movie night. There was one amazing rental store in Frankfurt that seemed totally chaotic, but you'd find a ton of interesting shows and foreign movies. That was way before tv shows became a big thing. But they had The X Files, Buffy, and lots of other stuff that I wouldn't have seen otherwise. I don't think Tyrell distinguishes one from the other, as others said, he doesn't know there are two personalities. He liked Elliot right from the start, so I'd say he loves both (whatever 'love' means here), but Mr. Robot's plans obviously play a big part in how he's feeling towards Elliot. However, it sounded as if he really means it, the question is what kind of love exactly. I don't really think this is about sex, but just the thought of them in a relationship, both with their seriously fucked mental states, makes me wish we had a tv show just about their everyday life as a couple. That would be priceless. :-D Well we didn't really see much interactions apart from those he had with Darlene, but that doesn't mean she's the only one he used to be nice to. I just don't see him as a bad guy who needs redemption in the first place, afair we never really saw him do anything mean or cruel.
