Mrs. Clinton's whole "outta the woods" narrative reminds me of the song in The Wizard of Oz when Dorothy and her companions emerged from the woods and arrived at the Emerald City. Only in this case, Mrs. Clinton IS the Wizard who was a phony and a humbug.
I am so incredibly sick of politicians giving rah-rah speeches and telling us that we have to "pull together" and "find common ground" as they live in mansions with private security ( whiletelling US that guns are bad!) Mrs. Clinton is certainly not the first politician to do that, but she is one ofthe most insincere. She and Bill have made millions selling access to the US government. Like she REALLY cares about people coming together! lol
I am just totally sick of these speeches. And I am even sicker of the stupidity and naivete of the American voter. We elect a President to be the Chief Executive Officer of the land, NOT the head cheerleader, national counselor, chaplain or guru.
Just do your freakin job and leave us citizens alone to find our own way! I am just sick of Mrs. Clinton's self serving speeches. And that last one in Scranton, Pa! Oh brother. A group of moronic sycophant females appauding and laughing at her calculated nonsense.
I AM female, but at times like that I question the wisdom of giving women the vote!! LOL
There's no tried and true formula for who we are attracted to. There a few current actors who have heartthrob status whom I don't find appealing in the least. It's just a matter of personal taste.
Years ago I remember how Robert Redford made women swoon. I thought he was very handsome but he held no appeal for me, yet I thought Judd Hirsch was sexy as anything. Had a crush on him, still do!!!

Sad to say, I think thay ALL fib to the American people. Hillary Clinton is a an especially crooked case though. Sometimes even I can't believe the depth of my contempt for her. I wish her well, in the private sector, far,far,far away from any pulic office.

While teaching, I have had to deal with a lot of students spouting liberal rhetoric. I tried to set them straight when I could. But the government run schools love to indoctrinate the sheeple, easier to get them to vote for Democrats and their welfare programs which keep the citizenry under the government's thumb.

Interesting that you attempt to explain capitalism to ME! YEAH, I get it. IF a performer or athlete brings in millions to his employer, he is duly compensated. No problem there. I agree with that. I was pointing out that it doesn't necessarily make them SMARTER than the average person. It just means that they have something to sell that people are willing to buy. I never said that they should get minimum wage. If they are worth millions to their employer, it is the employer's right to pay them. Unlike what the LEFT thinks, "Oh boo hoo, it is so unfair that some people 'accrue wealth' , 'get' a lot of money, get an 'unfair share' of the money that is out there". Like, yes of course, money is lying around and the greedy people scoop it up!! It's all unfair "income redistribution" to the loony left.
Money is earned, not redistributed!, unless of course you are on welfare or some other government program. Take a course in basic Economics will ya, then get back to me.
And yeah, way smarter than Lesbo Maddow. I don't expect Pres. Trump's help. Like our Founding Fathers, I expect nothing from the Federal government except for it to stay the HELL OUT of my way! You need to read some of the more brilliant economists of our day. May I suggest Dr. Tom Sowell or Dr. Walter E. Williams. Government can do very little to help, but its interference can cause a world of hurt. I never expected anything from government, my late father taught me that. Not health care, not free stuff, not support if I chose to have babies out of wedlock (which I didn't, btw)

I really liked Larry Blyden in this episode. He was a good actor. The character he plays in the other TZ episode "Showdown with Rance McGrew" is so different. So sad that he died young in a car accident. I hope he got to heaven for real!!

What I thought WAS the stupidest thing is that Kirk didn't mind breaking it! In "A Taste of Armageddon" he got in the middle of two warring planets who used simulated battle. The battles were fake but the casualties were real. The citizens who were counted as lost in the war had to report to disintigration chambers.
I remember him saying, "I didn't start this war but I am liable to finish it."
There were times when he was only defending his ship and crew, but he did cross the line in meddling with other cultures. In a Star Trek book I have the author termed him as "a cosmic Mary Worth." lol
In an episode like "Miri" however, I think the children were relocated after the crew found a cure for the aging disease. Those children were hardly a viable culture without adult care and they would have perished if left alone.
In "The Apple" however Kirk deemed it necessary to destroy the computer that ran the civilization. The Prime Directive was pointed out to him, but he said that only applied to a "growing and thriving society" and this one wasn't. Was there a clause that allowed ship captains to use their own opinion in deciding what cultures were growing and thriving? The people on that planet seemed happy. Kirk blew up their computer and left them to their own devices. I hope he had the Federation send a few advisers at least. lol
On Voyager, Captain Janeway was strict about enforcing the Prime Direction except when she wasn't! I think it all depended if she took her meds that day. That woman seemed to undergo a number of personality changes.
Yeah, those lighthearted episodes seem a bit out of place in the TZ universe. The same with "A Penny for Your Thoughts" with Dick York.
I loved him as the original Darrin Stephens, but those topics of lightheared stories just don't seem like Twilight Zone stories. I want a twist ending or a real shocker (To Serve Man) or at least a surprising commeuppance for a nasty or evil character.
One of the abolute worst was "The Mind and the Matter" with Shelley Berman playing the cranky Archibald Beechcraft who hated society. He wipes out everyone but then gets lonely and repopulates the world with Archibald clones. The scene in the elevator with all the actors wearing masks to look like him is laughable (and not in a good way!)
I don't mind if an episode ends on a positive note, but for me, the humorous episdes just don't fit the theme of the show.
Agreed. Also, in my own opinion, this show should be done in black and white. Modern audiences probably wouldn't go for it. But b&w set the tone for the moody atmosphere. The focus should be on the story and not bright colors which intrude.
Doubtful they'd ever do it though.
