Elves are supposed to be a beautiful race of people.

More beautiful than humans. So why do Elrond and Galadriel look so ordinary ?

reply

Leftists enjoy celebrating ugliness for some reason. That's why they come up with dumb shit like "fat acceptance" and expect us to praise some land whale on the cover of Sports Illustrated's bikini issue.

reply

Ya beauty is in the eye of the beholder. But they can't get a date.

reply

It's a demoralization campaign, and is part of why we are inundated with horrible architecture, art, etc.

Admittedly, I used to be annoyed that most movies only cast pretty people, but now I bitch to my wife about ugly clothing/makeup models in store advertisements. Be careful what you wish for, but there is a lot of daylight between too pretty and hideous.

reply

YOUR WIFE HATES WHEN YOU DO THAT.

reply

Well if they are supposed to be beautiful and are butt ugly then I think we are allowed to have an issue with it all. I am a musician and I get sick of smokin hotties being the only ones that seem to get stage time. It makes me wonder what was the overriding necessary qualification for their job.

reply

Republicans are some of the ugliest people on Earth. Have you seen a Trump rally?
The stereotype of the fat, redneck the world has of Americans.

reply

Yeah, I've seen plenty of footage of Trump at his rallies and the ugly people cheering behind him. Sort of reminds me of Hitler rallies, except there the thousands of soldiers were sort of handsome.

reply

Sick on incels like you two hijacking threads to spew your worthless political comments.

Take it to the Trump discussions where it belongs.

reply

TDS is an ugly, ugly affliction. It cannot be cured with conventional drugs.

reply

That has nothing to do with what he said. L2read

reply

Idgaf

reply

Ordinary??

Man, in USA (50% obese and the push to have more) those would be the pinnacle of perfection :D

reply

the food in USA is poisonous, the government wants a fat sick population that requires medical treatment constantly for their problems. they are easiest to control

reply

IKR?
I've got a buddy who used to be in the CIA and one of those telepathic goats told him the whole plan.

i've got my tinfoil hat on lemme tell you , cosd if they read my brain found out i know what they're up to i'd be disappeared to that secret island that isnt on the map

reply

To be fair I kinda agree with DMT. Maybe is not intentional but the food is poisonous and nobody cares as long as: is cheap, brings in profits.

I'm now 200+ pounds. When I moved to the USA I was 155. And I didn't really change my eating habits.

And it's well known that the US Food recommendations had been a failure ...

https://www.cato.org/policy-analysis/why-does-federal-government-issue-damaging-dietary-guidelines-lessons-thomas

And it's pretty apparent the push to accept obesity as healthy by you leftists morons.

reply

whilst all thats true
people are free to eat healthy or not

there is no , and this is the funny bit , "government plot to keep people fat to control them"
there is just governments lack of ability to keep people healthy,
which is mainly because its a free country and people eat junk if they want.

reply

Do you KNOW how to read???

That's what I fucking said "Maybe is not intentional".

But at the same time you cannot choose to eat junk if all you find IS junk. Specially when the government RECOMMENDS that you eat that junk. And, due to market supply, not eating junk is expensive as hell - so not really a junk.

And fact is: intentional or not big pharma and the people in the government are profiteering like crazy from the situation.

Just take diabetes type 2 as an example, JUST THAT. More than 10% of Americans have diabetes type2.

Add this to the equation:

"In 2016, chronic diseases driven by the risk factor of obesity and overweight accounted for $480.7 billion in direct health care costs in the U.S"

reply

not eating junk is expensive as hell

How does this myth keep perpetuating? Fresh produce is very cheap, pennies on the dollar from farm stands. You don't need to eat an entire $15 steak to your head, you can cut it in 3rds and freeze the other 2/3rds. A can of peas or green beans is maybe $1 and lasts 2 meals.

Where is the unaffordable healthy food located at? I want to see it lol. It feels like that saying is a lie that is perpetuated to instill demoralization into people. Much like that "don't trust anyone over 30" BS

reply

Healthy food doesn't mean "meat and vegetables". Doesn't even mean fresh - a lot is about how those products had been grown.

We have a different definition for "healthy" ;)

Then why do you fuckers keep eating junk if it's NOT expensive to NOT fucking eat junk?

reply

If "healthy" isn't eating clean, regular exercise, plenty of sunlight, fresh air, etc...then is "healthy" even a real word with any real meaning?

I'm 44, 12% body fat, with perfect HDL/LDL cholesterol levels...and I'm not rich by any stretch of the imagination. I'm no less bombarded with American anti-health propaganda than anyone else.

The problem and reality is that most people just do not possess the will power to give a shit about their health. It has less to do with income, and more to do with instant gratification, consumer culture, and the next miracle pill*(side effects include constipation, diarrhea, and death)

reply

Huge food corporations control the food supply - not the government. They're the ones who GMO, spray pesticides, replace food with chemicals, add preservatives and pour sugar, salt and fat into food because it's addictive.

When people moved away from milk for health reasons, the food industry began to put cheese in everything so that dairy farmers would still profit.

I always read the ingredients and practically every food has changed for the worse in the past couple of years.

Healthy food is very rare and difficult to find in the U.S.. And that includes in health food stores where I frequent.

As for the government, they do what the food industry's political donations tell them to do.

reply

Meat, vegetables, and fruit are hard to find?

reply

LMAO...WHAT A FUCKING WEINER...DID YOU JUST BLAME AMERICA(WHERE YOU CHOSE TO MOVE) FOR YOUR FAT JIGGLE ASS?🤣

reply

Yeah, I blame YOU for my fat jiigle ass. Stop drooling all over it.

It's called "an observation" you moron. And I was too skinny back then anyway :P

reply

JIGGLE JIGGLE

reply

I just want to know if any of the elves will be riding a large moose in this show.

reply

This Galadriel can't even begin to think about holding a candle to the Galadriel in the films. The Galadriel in the films is ethereal and godlike in appearance and demeanor, night and day from the mundane and ordinary Galadriel in the show.

reply

Well, isn't the who like 3000 years in the past from the LotR movies??

So she has 3000 years to reach that.

reply

She was already thousands of years old in the Second Age. Older than the Moon and the Sun.

reply

Maybe they are a race that reach maturity in thousands of year, like baby yoda.

Maybe she is still a teen that just got out of the acnee period ...

But the fact that she thinks that she can swim thousands of miles back to Middle Earth is too dumb even for a teen ...

reply

I'm pretty sure this came up earlier...
Maturity is not just about biology, it's about experience as well.
And by the Second Age Galadriel had experienced much. No, she didn't participate in any battle, but she saw her world crumble, her kinsmen murdered by her close relatives, was part of a horrific journey over the frozen Far North and then spent several centuries watching the Middle-Earth being slowly consumed by the Enemy. Out of a rather big family Gil-Galad and Celebrimbor are her last kin.

I don't believe Tolkien ever thought of her as immature.

reply

Dude, sometime you have to realize the obvious sarcasm :D

reply

Sorry. Still a bit pissed off at the show.

reply

Galadriel didn't bother me, but Elrond is surely the ugliest looking elf in middle earth.

reply

It's not that he is ugly (go to any public space to find worse) but that he has such a punchable douche-face.

reply

Yep. Even L.Rond Hubbard is better looking than Elrond.

reply

So he has been named, Elrond Hubbard !

reply

Elvis was a beautiful grace of pop

reply

Cate Blanchett and Mirfydd Clark look the same to me.

reply

Might be time to ease up on the bourbon your Majesty.

reply

...or get some fucking glasses. I am guessing all you can see is a blonde and pink blurry orb if you think those two look the same.

reply

Dude, both women are pretty saccharine in appearance.
