Every single thing about this movie is terrible

Law of averages says there has to be one redeeming aspect of this film but nope. It's an epic failure of immense proportions.

Let's start with the dialogue. They didn't have the foresite to realize filming near an ocean would be noisy. As a result, every interaction is cartoony because it seems like every line was ADR'd months later in a sound booth.

Speaking of cartoons, all of the characters are straight out of cartoon. Each performance is as subtle as a glass window breaking. For some reason in almost every scene, Dalton has this big dumb grin on his face. Which makes absolutely no sense considering the character is supposed to be so depressed he is suicidal. Somebody should have told his face. Connor McGregor's stupid grin is even worse. I mean no one expected an Oscar winning performance but if he doesn't sweep the Razzie's this year with his coked out goofy-ass performance there is no justice in this world. Give that man everything.

The fight scenes! Good lord i guess pro MMA fighters can't choreograph fights because the original Roadhouse fights seem like a UFC PPV fight compared to the awful clumsy "fights" in this movie.

I LOVED THIS MOVIE...I ENJOYED EVERY ASPECT OF THE FILM...ESCPECIALLY JACK AND CONOR....SUPER FUN AND ENDLESSLY ENTERTAINING.

It's really good, lots of fights and chases and the performances are spot on for an action movie. Even the little girl actress was very good and kids are often crummy actors. Without spoiling anything Jake Dalton is WAY more violent than Patrick Dalton! This is a bloody good time flick.

Just finished it. Man this movie sucked. The real problem with it was it wasn't bad enough. It got right to the cusp of "so bad it's good" but just kept trying to be a real movie and missing the mark. 20 minutes too long with boring as hell filler scenes. What an absolute joke to think this movie was ever considered for theatrical release. Tonally scattershot all over the place. The Roudhouse "remake" was merely window dressing for this oddball action movie. Which is totally insulting. Booo!

The difference is I make the effort to enjoy a film , to try to see the good side , so a film has to be extra bad before I start badmouthing it .

This is purely out of selfishness - I want to enjoy the movie.
I domnt dont understand why people will go out of their way to not like a movie and ruin their own exoperience, hence "masochiostic"

But its all subjective , and relaetive , perhaps these people really didnt like the movie , or maybe it really is bad .
It just doesent seem that way the wy I read some comments here .

Especially the "I cant watch this , its got a black man in it - woke crap" brigade , but thats a different league.

Okay, that’s fair enough. I didn't like this new Road House and stopped at about the point he moved onto the boat. But I’m going to give it another try because sometimes it can depend on your mood when you watch the movie

You like watching endless shitty films, which is fine if that's your thing, but it does mean your standards are lower than mine as I don't like watching endless shitty films.
The one or two films a week I get to watch will hopefully be very well made, well written blahblahblah..a high standard. What I watched at the cinema was not of a high standard, it was substandard, it was like a polished Uwe Boll film, a standard you are happy with.

In summary, your low standards make you the perfect target for current day Hollywood...if you paid to see it.

I really wanted to like it. I didn't want a replacement for the original masterpiece, but man, I just couldn't get into this remake at all. I generally like Jake Gyllenhal as an actor too, so again, I wanted to like this movie, but for me it just didn't work. I also thought Conor McGregor was terrible.

The fight scenes looked fake, jump cuts for everyone. Ah well, just makes me appreciate Patrick Swayze even more.

I love the original and watch it regularly, I won't be watching this remake. The original is bad but made with love, everything about it is cheesy and you can just feel that while they were making it they were cracking jokes and coming up with new ways to add more cheese. High fiving each other as they went.

This one, from the trailer looks like they wanted a serious film. There is also the Woke effect with the female bar owner and less attractive female doctor. All they did with this one was make a bad film.
