Episode 6 has not been released in the US. It’s on Peacock and you currently can only see episodes 1-5 with a drop next Thursday. Ep. 6 is available in the UK and some other countries but not the US. And you say you are American. You’re a real nut case. But you probably get that a lot.

Not sure if that’s true.

Never tried it.

I saw the VPN thing later. I thought the same as you - could this guy actually figure out some way to watch episode 6. Lunacy and brilliance.

But I don’t think you save that much money as you have to do 24 months at a time. I think. And the monthly by itself is way more than a subscription monthly of say, Peacock. And you can cancel those anytime. But I am sure there is a way. There’s always another way.

it's gonna be a while because they infiltrated a lot of the leadership in media. that's how it became so pervasive. look at the devs in big game companies now, they're fucking trannies. that's how we got games with breast removal scars. female characters that look manly. why a tv show called the witcher was 90% about vaginas. why every leader in picard was a woman and the list goes on and on and on. they're fucking everywhere right now, not just a few studios. the day kathleen kennedy gets canned, that day you know the tides have turned. disney blocking a tranny episode in a cartoon is a good sign. i was shocked at how fast they turned after trump won.

actually the show is easily one of the best of 2024 and there was only like 3 good shows in 2024. it's good despite all the blacks and vaginas. the only way i could stomach the show though was fast forwarding all the vagina scenes. i watch just enough of it to get the gist of the story. but of course, they had to shove a gay scene in my face, which i fast forwarded quickly too. there are so few watchable shows in 2024 that i have to resort to this. it's fucking sad.

Let me guess, you never read the book? Did you even know it was a book?

The book was written in 1971; it details real and fictional activities related to assassination attempts on Charles de Gaulle in the 1960's. It was adapted into films in 1973, 1988 and 1997. The 1971 version was faithful to the book, the latter two adaptations were little more than adaptations in name only.

While it might be interesting to see a TV series period piece set in the 1960's, it has already been done. I'm guessing that you simply object to the presence of gay people and females in positions of power in the world as a whole.

In the book and the 1973 and 1997 film adaptations, the Jackel may or may not be gay. They do seduce and use men and women to their advantage. In both cases they get close to gay men and straight women to use their homes to hide out in.

I'm not sure what kind of "command structure" that you are accustom to, but when I was in the Navy, I would routinely give my recommendations to the officer in charge of the watch and he may or may not ask for more details including clarification and if I had other recommendations. None of the officers on my submarines had the same knowledge I had in my field of expertise, so they would be derelict in their duties if they not seek out the advice of the senior watch standers. They did of course know enough about my job as to know if an enlisted watch stander was giving them a line of BS.

In the book and the 1971 film, two men are assigned by the British and french governments to seek out the Jackel. They are given broad powers of investigation and their superiors do indeed ask them what they need.

You're asking why certain people are gay? Why do you care other than to object to the existence of gay people in this world?

i'm not. you were annoying me so i asked that. i wasnt even sure you were gay until now. as for command structure, i'm not sure what structure they had in this show because it's MI6 but a police captain overseeing a case would not ask his detective what to do next. he sends the detective out to accomplish a goal, then the detective writes his report, then the captain decides what to do next. that was two situations in the show. the third one is the rich illuminati guy asking the woman what to do. why the fuck would he do that? he's the one that decides. she's not some specialist, she's the intermediary between him and the assassin.

Leaders who can ask for and take advice from underlings are to be appreciated for how they utilize the resources at their disposal. Your position is irrational to say the least. My physician is a woman, my daughter is a police officer. I worked with female engineers prior to retirement. I served under female officers in the US Navy. You act like you're walking around with a blindfold on. Not a good look for anyone.

Ever heard of the Bechdal List? It is a measure of the representation of women in film and other fiction.
1.The movie has to have at least two women in it,
2. who talk to each other,
3. about something other than a man.

This movie buff guy is really troubled. He’s in a very strange place. I am sure someone has flagged him. If there are any missing women wherever he lives, they should check this guy out.

On another note, I commend you for being familiar and appreciative of The Day of the Jackal movies and novel. Yes, the scene where the cab drives the Jackal to the Turkish bath is great. He picks up a guy and goes to his swanky flat and stays there for days. He doesn’t kill him until he’s found out and even then it’s quick because the Jackal is a silent cold-blooded killer. Calling the original film archaic just shows that some people can’t adapt to a movie made earlier, and they can’t adapt to a modernization as well.

And the constant woke shoutouts - to some on this post if a black actor were cast as Othello - that would be woke.

The 1973 film contains the homosexual subtext that the OP is crying about. After the public manhunt starts, the Jackel picks up a man at a bathhouse and stays at his home prior to murdering him. These scenes are also in the book and the 1997 Bruce Willis adaptation.
