If you love non woke action, you'll love this

Basic straight forward plot, lots of action, next to zero on the woke scale..
I love it ❤️
And I give it 7.5 /10 ⭐

LMAO

reply

Too generic and bland for my taste.
Netflix's best attempt at this type of film so far though.
5/10

reply

I think red notice, which is also a netflix movie, is better than this.

It also has a ridiculous plot full of holes, but I think it is a better action movie than this one.

reply

Extraction.

reply

Thats a good movie in the same vein as this one

reply

Extraction was damn good. I remember it came at the height of the pandemic, when theaters were shut down and there hadn't been a big-budget action movie in a while. I really NEEDED a movie like that at the the time and I found it very satisfying.

reply

This movie sucks. It doesn't matter if it is woke or not. It is boring, dull, not fun and not entertaining. 4/10.

reply

Anyone who describes a movie as "fun" doesn't know what they are talking about...

reply

Some movies are fun or are supposed to be fun. This movie is not fun, even though it is supposed to be.

reply

Funny yes,
"fun" oh hell no🙅

reply

Fun is not a no no adjective to describe a movie? Big Trouble in Little China is a "Fun" movie.

fun
fŭn
noun

1)Enjoyment; amusement.
2)A source of enjoyment, amusement, or pleasure.
3)Mirthful sport; frolicsome amusement; enjoyment from gay or comical action or speech.

the second definition fits perfectly for describing a movie you like.

reply

Is Titanic fun ?

reply

DEPENDS WHO'S WATCHING...ARE YOU AWARE THAT YOU SOUND LIKE AN IDIOT?

reply

Then why are you responding to an "idiot" 😂😂
apart from clearly trolling..

reply

I liked the movie Titanic, I was wrapped up in its epic scale and was entertained...but as my heart moved on...I found movies I enjoy more and may not revisit titanic. Same thing with Pearl Harbor, I was entertained and gripped by the story at the time but I havent seen the movie in many years and not sure I will care for the love triangle aspect if I watch it again. I dont think I would use fun to describe either of these two, my choice would be "gripping, epic, drama"

To be clear, I love the movie The Gray Man. I see myself watching it again and already recommended it to friends and family. I find this movie Fun!

Its odd though, that you dont scold the original above poster (allaby) for hating on the movie. You scolded him on using the word fun as a way to describe a movie. The definition of fun can be used, but doesnt have to be used to describe a movie you liked.

reply

"The definition of fun can be used, but doesnt have to be used to describe a movie you liked."
And I agree, I think we have found common ground..

reply

TROLLS SAY TROLL.

reply

makes you miserable to see people having a proper
discussion, must be sad to be you Kowalski..

reply

NOPE...I DON'T DO MISERY...JUST LIKE YOU DON'T DO PROPER DISCUSSION...THAT LAST PART IS FAIRLY OBJECTIVE...BUT GENERALLY I AM PRETTY DAMN HAPPY...HOW ABOUT YOURSELF?

reply

If you say so

reply

[deleted]

says the idiot who unironically describes movies as "woke"

reply

How is it ironic ?

reply

Movies entertain us. Entertainment is fun. Anything else?

reply

"Fun" is a reaction you expect from a six year old after watching SpongeBob,
Not the reaction one expects from a grown ass person after watching an action movie..

Reviewing an action movie with "It's not fun", come on!

reply

You're one of those dbags I avoid at parties

reply

Dafuq? There are plenty of "fun" movies.

Example: The Mummy (1999)

That movie is extremely fun.

I'm starting to feel like this site has its own Ministry of Propaganda

It's one thing to complain about wokeness in movies, but to complain about wokeness even in movies that DON'T commit woke crimes?

Even in the weirdest liberal places like Twitter you don't see movie reviews that say "this movie is NOT problematic!" or "it's not racist/sexist!" Which is essentially what you are doing

It's like people are going one by one categorizing every new movie as either woke or non woke. It's deranged behavior and I find it difficult to believe that it's not just a small group of people with multiple sock puppets

reply

Deranged my ass,
If it's not WOKE I'm damn sure gonna say it... 😝

reply

With all the interracial couples, hundred pound female karate experts, he/shes in space and other examples of forced diversity which The Critical Drinker collectively calls "The Message" it is good to see a movie that avoids all that and it is so rare nowadays that it is worth mentioning when a movie or TV show is not Woke

reply

It's probably a mix of sock puppets and a lot of vapid folks who are just conceding their sense of self to be part of a larger superidentity. Same thing happened on parts of 4Chan and Reddit. People want to feel like they're part of a community so they just regurgitate ideas and buzzwords to make them feel like they're in the 'know'.

And we do know this site isn't very consistent in its moderation.

reply

True

reply

Didn't a woman asking for her personal space to be respected trigger you? (there was another line before that one but I forgot it)

reply

Nope that was funny especially when he said it back to her 😂😂

reply

Frankly, I was thinking it for her when the guy crowded into her grill trying to intimidate. She was a bad ass martial arts expert so, the audience was expecting her to say something to show she was not intimidated. The whole exchange made perfect sense even in an era before “woke” b.s.

reply

Exactly

reply

So, if it ain't white, it ain't right?

reply

here's your free "Jump to conclusions" matt!

reply

Yep. Jump on it.

reply

Lol 🤣🤣

reply

Did you see the movie or you just trolling...

reply

Of course I watched it.

reply

Ok so how did you arrive at "if it ain't white, it ain't right?"

reply

And how did you arrive at non-woke.

reply

The lack of on the nose political correctness and feminism...

reply

A sign of bigotry.

reply

"here's your free "Jump to conclusions" matt!"

reply

also "if you like shitty movies, you'll love this"
