I didn't even notice that similarity until I think I saw someone point it out here.
But yeah, this story is nothing like Knock at the Cabin, on any level, except for that.

Same here. I think the movie was a solid movie. I'm not sure I actually like the film, but I thought it was fascinating. And I appreciated the little touches like the one you described.
This whole chain was like one smartass failing to outsmart another smartass.

This is a teaser poster. Alternatively, they could have done a solid black poster, with only the date in the classic font, and it would have been good enough here.

It gets a little "english-paper" at times, but that was a terrific reading. The review embodies the sort of discussion I miss having back when I was younger; thank you for sharing. I especially loved the analysis of the older couple, and I like that it really has its own take on why these people were not fighting back. I hadn't seen much on that.
Will have to check this out. I've never heard of this at all.

FYI, I've succeeded in being able to read more. Still not as much as I'd like, but I think the reframing of things has definitely helped. In general, I'm currently in a better space with organizing my life, and maintaining the reading has been a part of that. Cheers!
