So what's the worst pain you've ever experienced?

Mine was when I had testicular torsion. It pretty much felt like I was being continuously hit in the crotch for two hours.

Hmm, good question, OP.

It is hard to say.

One that really stands out to me was when I was hit from behind by a teenage boy speeding his bike. I flew into the air and my body bounced/flipped across the pavement several times before I came to a halt. I hit my skull several times on the cement sidewalk and hit my hips, legs and thighs several times. On both sides.

I honestly thought that I had broken my skull, my head throbbed so much. The pain was just unimaginable. My first thoughts upon contact with the sidewalk were "I need to get to a hospital- need to call 911- need surgery on my head- will insurance cover this?". I was at first unable to sit up and stand up on my own, that is how much it hurt. The pain subsided, though, and it turned out that I was fine.

Though the huge bruises and the incredible pain on my hips and legs stayed with me for many weeks.

Either when I broke my arm or when I had a kidney stone. Good God, the kidney stone...

My school friend was hit in the head by a metal baseball bat at close range. I will never, ever forget it. She was wearing a baseball cap and the blood was soaking through it in a matter of seconds... then she fainted. Horrible sight! She needed like ten stitches.

I injured my ribs somehow while skiing, and several days later had a coughing fit that sprained them (I guess) and ripped muscles. Unreal pain. Every breath brought on anguish, and I lived in complete terror that I'd have to sneeze. Horrible couple weeks.

I used to be a soccer goalkeeper and I got kneed in face when i came out to get the ball. Was knocked out cold for a few seconds then came to. Fractured my jaw in two places. Bleed like a *beep* the blood was so thick when I spat it out. And not to mention the pain was excruciating. Good thing I was momentarily dazed that I could somehow not feel the full brunt of the injury.

I have the lowest pain threshold in the world. The worst pain I've ever experienced is probably when I broke my little toe on my left foot... in my defense, the doctor even said it was the most extreme toe break he'd seen, my pinky was sticking out at a 90 degree angle :/ It was excruciating. I'm lucky that I don't get bad period pains, only the occassional cramp which isn't too bad, I find random leg cramps to be much more painful.

Laser tattoo removal on a partial sleeve tattoo is a probably the worst pain I've ever felt. Even with the numbing cream on it first, and eating a few Advil or whatever. I felt like I wanted to pass out from it, it feels like hot bacon grease splattering on your skin for like 10 minutes straight, and then whole arm swells and throbs and blisters after wards. (Shouldn't have gotten the tat in the first place, which makes the pain probably seem even worse, cause I felt like an idiot too, lol)

I once stood barefoot on a stickle brick, that hurt.

When I was 10 I was stupidly playing around the back of one of those big tennis umpire chairs and the chair fell backwards. When it fell the back of my head got stuck on this wooden plank thing with nails and the base of the chair fell directly onto my head and scalped me. Had to have 77 stitches and in hospital for a few weeks. Its sucks when people ask me how I got the scar on my forehead though because its such a stupid story to tell! If only it was something like a shark attack :)

there was one time i shaved my balls without using any shaving cream.

When I was about 9 I got scalded on my buttocks. Me and my family were on holiday in our caravan (trailer to you Americans) and my dad had put up this folding shelf on the end of the kitchen cabinet, right over the front seating section, and decided to put the kettle on this shelf. While it was boiling I sat down with a comic, didn't realise the shelf with kettle was hanging over where I was about to sit (and it was behind my back so I couldn't see it) knocked the kettle off the shelf and boiling water spilled all over my bottom.

For a second it felt freezing cold than I felt the burning heat. As I was screaming (I was only a kid and pain seems to affect kids more) my dad was ripping down my pants, lying me down on the bed at the back and covering my buttocks with wet towels. He said a whole layer of skin just came clean off. They were first degree (or maybe second degree) burns, big blisters popped up all over my bum cheeks and I had to wear dressing for some weeks. On the way home in the car at the end of the holiday (a journey of several hours) I don't think I could sit down, I think I sort of crouched with my bum just above the back seat, leaning on the back of the seat with my back.

Second degree burns on my entire hand. What was even worse was when I had to wait ~10 hours before I could get to a doctor.

I broke my foot when I was younger. Oh, the pain was so intense...
