So what's the worst pain you've ever experienced?

It's a tie between the time I was playing on the monkey bars but I fell and my braces got caught in the flesh
on the inside of my cheek and when I had salmonella.

Stomach ulcers.

in 1999 I was hit t-bone on my drivers side by a drunk with no license. When I woke up I was in the passenger seat with the drivers side seat belt still on me and the drivers side door just a couple inches from my arm. I separated my hip , smashed my sciatic nerve , ruined my L4 and L5 in my back , broke my left arm and wrenched the hell out of my neck. It was almost 3 years before I was even remotely functional and have never been able to return to work since. Drunk drivers should be put against a wall and shot imo : )

Interesting question, and I've had an array of injuries that have been pretty bad, including being accidentally shot. (not life threatening in any way)

Broken bones aren't that bad at all. At least not for me.

Think the worst three things I can think of were pretty close to even and all pretty silly.

I didn't have dental insurance for a few years and had a tooth so infected that it was oozing. Mouth pain is brutal for me. I ended up trying to pull it out with vice grips and it broke. That probably takes number one. Ran to a dentist's office and they cut out the rest.

Second and third don't sound like they'd be bad, but they were. I broke my finger in high school playing football and just had it straightened and taped it for weeks. So, they had to break it again and we found out I had shattered it the first time. When they removed the cast and stitches, there was one stitch through the top of my finger coming out under my fingernail. I nearly passed out.

I'll get called a wuss here, but third was a tattoo and I'm covered in them. For some reason my elbows (the back, not the ditch) were brutal. I thought I was going to break my teeth the whole time. That was worse than any bone break I've ever had, and I had my fibula come clear through the skin. Haha.

I've had a lot of different injuries. Broken bones (thumb, nose, foot, toes, frontal bone), concussions, third degree burns, lots and lots of contusions, cuts, lacerations, ripped flesh, nails and glass stuck in my feet and hands, being sewed without anesthesia as a little kid TWICE, being hit by a fast moving bike in the face and so on AND I have chronic back pain, but somehow the worst pain I have ever felt are still period cramps. If you have to throw up because the pain is so intense, even with pain medication, I think that says a lot.
