Funny how people were saying "watch it first"... Well, we proved that we didn't have to watch it to know it was woke. So, those of us who called this as being woke have been 100% vindicated.

The mary sue woman lead makes it unbearable to watch. I don't care if you could be a woman in the game. There is no reason to cast a woman as the lead in a show like this. Forced diversity strike #1

Why do we always have interracial relationships? Why did he have a black daughter? Is it really necessary to inflict that trauma onto real Americans who don't believe in that sin? Force diversity strike #3

Transgender soldier was out of place. Forced diversity strike #4
Black soldier hero for some reason. Why? Forced diversity strike #5

I stopped watching it after 30 minutes, but I'm sure there is a lot more wokeness to be found. Forced diversity strike #2 is for the case that I haven't seen yet, but that we all know exists somewhere.

You do know the difference between gross profit and net profit, right?

Disney annual net income for 2023 was $2.354B, a 25.15% decline from 2022.

Gross = how much money you brought in.
Net = how much profit you made.

Net is all that really matters in business.

yeah I thought it was something like that , but couldnt understand why the gross expression even exists because as you say Net is all that matters .
Its a bit like "turnover" which i think means pretty much the same thing as gross .

Who cares if you're business had a turnover (aka Gross profit) of a million if it lost money in the process?

(the disney gross profit I posted was just a quick google to reassure people asserting that having black people in their content was "losing billions" , that it wasnt) , so i ignored the net/gross angle

Or are you unwittingly revealing that you believe that a woman lead of a show automatically means something becomes woke?

Or that any and all interracial relationships in fiction constitute 'woke'?
