Ariana’s Dead eyes

Just watched it. I’ve seen Wicked on broadway a couple times and this was pretty good overall. Ariana did well singing and her lines were delivered fairly well. But man - those eyes are just dead. There is nothing in there at all. No emotion, no sparkle, no life. It’s like a mask of a human trying to emote. Most of her comedy gags fell flat as a result as well.

I liked Cynthia and thought she gave a lot more emotion. Seeing Kristen Chenoweth in the Oz "reunion" scene reminded me how much more of an effervescent human she is than Ariana. Perfect for Galinda.

Anyway, good movie. Not sure it was necessary to make it, but I didn’t regret watching it.

Too many cocks.

Funny you should say that, I've always thought she looked a little dead-eyed.

In the film Ariana Grande's cross eye (caused by a condition called Strabismus) was CGI’ed, which may account for the dead look (Optometrist Andy).

I'm sure her strabismus didn't help, but this was something I noticed in every scene. Those dead, dilated, black eyes. It was like nothing in the whole upper portion of her face moved. And the weird juxtaposition of the platinum blonde hair and pale skin. It just didn't work for me. But she definitely didn't ruin it or anything. It should've just gone to a more talented, bubbly actress.

She really looked freaky with pale skin and blond hair. I'm so used to her faking looking like she's Hispanic (she's actually a white Italian who changes her heritage publicly as often as she changes her clothes) with the medium brown skin and dark hair, that it was such a shocker when she went all pale like that.

Though, the fact that she's in her 30s and trying as hard as she can to stay looking like she's forever 15 years old is even more disturbing, particularly with the anorexia and face work. You should hear all the plastic surgery she's had done to keep her face looking like a little teenage doll. Let's just hope she has the money to keep that up, because sooner or later, all those surgeries will eventually come back to haunt her later on in life.

Like a Doll's eyes.

Exactly.

If you told me that was from a horror movie, I would've believed you.
