Question to anyone who dislikes 'The Hangover'

Do/did you enjoy partying and getting drunk?

It would explain a lot to me if the answer would be 'no'.

What I don't get is, why are people getting so worked up about hating this movie? The movie being not that good, the movie being inappropriate, the scene being too obscene, the scene being not that funny, yada yada yada. Get lost. It's just a movie. A comedy, to be exact. If you don't like it then just turn around, walk away, and have another movie to watch. See? It is not that hard.

youstupidprick, you have a fair point, but people who love this movie getting worked up over people hating this movie are just as pathetic as people who obsess over hating it. If you enjoy a movie, enjoy it, talk about it with people who like it, but don't bother arguing with people who dislike it.

I know that I should not intervene in the dispute, since I laughed out loud throughout the whole movie both times I watched it.

Well, I really do not enjoy getting drunk (or high) at all, albeit I love partying and have a good time. Who doesn't?

I am not sure that this explains why I liked THE HANGOVER whereas other people did not. I generally despise this kind of movies myself. But I guess it has a lot to do with my personal sense of humor and with the context in which I watched it the first time (alone, almost depressed and desperately in need of a carefree laugh).

Nope.

Not anymore really (though I'm in Vegas as I type this), but when I first watched it I certainly did. It doesn't make a difference though, it's not as if there's much to relate to in this film. Not on the level that being an American Jew helps appreciation of something like 'A Serious Man' anyway.

I didn't like the film because it was overhyped as being a great comedy, best of the decade etc. when really it was no different than any of those other tacky "bro comedy" films from the mid-2000s. The writing just isn't that good, tries far too hard to be cool, has 9Gag comedy standards - the list goes on.

Anyway, gtg, there's a tiger in my room LOLWTF

These bastards!
