shareBased. I hope for trends to change.
- I hope a film comes along with copious amounts of nudity and becomes a smash hit and kickstarts an uptick in nudity in cinema.
- I hope 'elevated' hipster Horror dies a painful death and we get genre films for genre fans again. Horror films for artisan, snobby, cinephile critics are a stain on the genre. They're embarrassed of their true nature. Like a dude who wants to be a Woman. Transhorror.
- I hope 'woke' pandering films die horribly. I hope Nope flops. Peeles a racist.
Go woke go broke is a slogan which I hope becomes undeniably true. Studios follow the money. I demand change.
Hope (2022).

I haven't been to the cinema since before COVID. Not sure when I'll go back but if F13 part 13 comes out I will almost certainly go see it. My favorite franchise ever.
I'd be happy with a film similar to the 2009 remake.
I will say though, if they make a new F13 film and skimp on the nudity I'll be livid. It's a franchise staple.
You're right. I hate your idea. A Trans girl? Seems too similar to Sleepaway Camp. As for a 'person of color' Jason...nah, I'm too used to him being a white man.
Forgot all about Sleepaway Camp. I think I saw it once over 20 years ago so can't remember. That is interesting, though.
shareWhat's the issue with NOPE?
shareTHAT GUY IS ALL ANGRY AND SILLY...I MISS THE DAYS WHEN ARTICLES WEREN'T WRITTEN BY COMPLETELY BIASED TROLLS.
shareJust think, if Hollywood would stop shoving their politics and social nonsense into their films and get back to making entertaining films with broad social appeal, then there would be no reason to get angry and write articles like this.
shareBIASED AND SILLY...AS I SAID.
shareThat is exactly my feeling about Hollywood right now. It is a biased and silly institution that hates traditional values, conservatism and Christianity.
shareLMAO...OK.
shareIt seems you're willing to overlook Hollywood's obvious agenda while decrying others as "biased."
shareDUDE...EVERY FILM HAS AN AGENDA...JUST LIKE EVERY WRITER AND DIRECTOR...THE AGENDAS YOU SEEM TO OBJECT TO ARE BASED ON REPRESENTATION...FAIR ENOUGH...DON'T WATCH THOSE FILMS...FILM IS ART YOU KNOW...ART IS THE OLDEST EXPRESSION OF IDEAS...AT THE ROOT OF IT AND AGENDA IS JUST IDEAS IN MOTION.
shareThe problem is not "representation." The problem is normalizing abnormal, deranged behavior. Shit like transgenderism should not be normalized.
shareAND THERE WE ARE BACK AT THE BIAS...BECAUSE YOU KNOW WHAT "NORMAL" IS.
shareI'd argue that we all knew this just 10 years ago, but somehow between then and now the western world has lost its mind. It's only been in recent days that anyone has tried to pretend that someone born male but professing to be female is normal. I'm sure you're old enough to know this is true.
Were we all wrong before, and just now entering into the golden age of enlightenment?
NOBODY HAS EVER BEEN RIGHT...HUMANITY IS A GUESSING GAME...NORMAL IS A MIRAGE THAT KEEPS CHANGING SHAPE AND LOCATION.
shareI guess that's the benefit for Christians such as myself, who believe that objective reality exists, and objective standards of morality do as well. Not everything is subjective, where right and wrong is whatever you or I say it is.
If you're going to take your logic to its fullest conclusion, then you can't say anything is really right or wrong, not even something like rape or pedophilia or even murder.

HUMANS DECIDE WHAT IS RIGHT AND WRONG FOR THEMSELVES BASED ON THE CONSTRUCTS OF THEIR SOCIETIES...AND IF THEIR WAS A BEARDED SKY MAN LONG AGO WHO SET FORTH THE PATH...I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT HE PREACHED ACCEPTANCE AND FRIENDSHIP.
He certainly didn't preach acceptance of any and all choices and lifestyles. Some things are outside of his intention and design for the world.
There's a rumor going around that in order to love someone you must approve of whatever they do. I assure you that rumor is false.
Remember that Jesus told the woman caught in adultery to "go and sin no more."
HOW DO YOU KNOW THAT?...DON'T FORGET...JESUS DIDN'T WRITE THE BIBLE...SOME CRUSTY DICKHEADS DID...AND THEN EDITED AND RE EDITED AND ALTERED AND RE ALTERED IT HUNDREDS OF TIMES OVER THE CENTURIES.
shareThat sounds like something you heard on Twitter.
I could recommend some books that would dispel that myth as well. Let me know if you want the titles.
Besides, I can flip this question around on you. You said:
"AND IF THEIR WAS A BEARDED SKY MAN LONG AGO WHO SET FORTH THE PATH...I KNOW FOR A FACT THAT HE PREACHED ACCEPTANCE AND FRIENDSHIP."
How do you know this for a fact?
BECAUSE YOUR MAGIC BOOK SAYS SO...I HAVE READ IT...I AM NOT ON TWITTER BY THE WAY...SOMEOLD DUDES WROTE WHAT THEY "OBSERVED" AND IT HAS BEEN TWEEKED TO SUIT THE NEEDS OF THE RULING OLD FART EVER SINCE...MIGHT HAVE SOME NICE WISDOM AND LESSONS TO LIVE BY BUT IT WAS NOT WRITTEN BY ANY SKY MEN.
shareI wonder what the headlines will be when the next Thor movie, which has been confirmed to have LGBT characters, makes a lot of money.
shareYou seem to automatically assume Thor 4 will "make a lot of money".
So what will the SJWs do if it "far under performs expectations"?
You should probably start rehearsing your "Thor 4's failure had nothing at all with the film being about a lesbian wedding instead of being about Thor and a massive dropoff in the second week after bad word of mouth spread about the movie being 'woke'" talking points in advance. You know, just in case...
I think it's more that people are tired of the Toy Story franchise. #4 had a perfect ending, which is why they had to go prequel instead of sequel. They need to just leave it alone.
shareDoctor Strange 2 has a lesbian couple, and it made a BILLION dollars, wacko
shareIt made $950 million, mostly thanks to following Spider-Man: No Way Home’s hype, but who's counting.
The lesbians in Dr Strange 2, which isn't a kids movie, only showed up for a few seconds and didn't even kiss.
One of the lesbians in Lightyear is a secondary character and had an on-screen kiss, in a kids movie.
i like lesbians
shareDisney just rehashed an franchise that hasn’t made a movie in years, who did they think their target audience was going to be? Young kids/teenagers don’t want to watch a movie about Toy Story character from the 90s-10s, and the older OG Toy Story fans aren’t interested in watching a movie that doesn’t have the original voice actor for Buzz (Tim Allen) in it. I think having that stupid lesbian kiss in the movie didn’t help matters either.
These guys waited too long to make a Toy Story/Buzz Lightyear movie, they changed the voice actor for the lead, and applied “wokeness” to the movie. That’s why it flopped hard.
A SINGLE KISS IS "WOKENESS"?...FUCK,YOU GUYS ARE SICK IN THE HEAD.
shareMy post is less about the kiss, and more about the time frame of the movie/s, target audience, and changing the voice actor.
shareTOY STORY 4 WAS THREE YEARS AGO,IT DID JUST FINE WITH AUDIENCES/FINANCIALLY AND TIM ALLEN IS THE FIRST VOICE ACTOR,OF COURSE... BUT NOT THE ONLY ONE...PATRICK WARBURTON VOICED BUSS FOR MULTIPLE SEASONS AND A FILM FOR THE SHOW BUZZ LIGHTYEAR OF STAR COMMAND...CHRIS EVANS IS THE THIRD AND IT MAKES SENSE AS EACH VERSION OF BUZZ HAS HAD ITS OWN VOICE.
shareYeah, I think you nailed it. It wasn't just the kiss, but it certainly didn't help. There was a lot wrong with it.
Regurgitating what you already said...
1. Toy Story crowd was long gone. Pixar was forced to go back to the well too often. It's a tired brand that needs to be put to pasture.
2. Changed the actor - If they had kept Tim Allen I think it would have made more. Yes, in this case it made a difference. Loyalty matters. I keep thinking about that third Mummy movie where they recast Evie and it bombed.
3. There was too much speculation on wokeness, which set off a lot of people and gave it a ton of bad buzz. Even less conservative people don't want to take their kids to a movie that pushes an agenda. Whether or not this did it I don't know as I never actually saw it. But the headlines were more about this than the actual movie.
It clearly wasn't 'people aren't going to take their kids to the movies' or 'will just wait for streaming' since Minions just made over $100 million in its opening weekend.
