Demi was brave to doing this role...
Bland, insanely predictable
Couldn't finish it.
I tried so hard to like this...
Tried to bridge the line of comedy and thriller and failed
Man, I forgot how fun this movie is
Simple, fun movie
Really forcing emotions all the way through
A nice little thriller but not all the way there
Tried too hard to be more than it was

When I saw it, I was fine with it all, but with passing time, I agree there is zero chance some random would get chosen. They didn't even vet him all that well—especially since the Pope secretly made him a Cardinal. They threw out some background info that absolutely zero people in the Vatican knew about. He gave one inspiring speech, and boom, he's in.
Fun movie. I always wondered if someone else instead of an older Arnold would have been better casting and made it a bigger hit. It looks great, the script worked well and had some twists, but I just felt Arnold was wrong for it. I dunno...
I found out about this from the movie and am now breezing through the seasons. So... if you've not heard there is a movie and it's incredible.
As a huge Captain America fan, I don't like any other version than Steve Rogers. And while I like Mackie, I don't think he can carry a movie. To top it off, I thought Falcon and Winter Solider was terrible.
If it gets some great word of mouth I might catch it in a theater, but at this point I'll wait for it to go on streaming.
I do remember a show called "The Other Half" with Danny Bonaduce that tried to be a male version of this. I think it was canceled after a year or so.
Seems to me if the Joker 1 movie was about Joker's origin and beginnings, the sequel should be about how he became the Clown Prince of Crime. Show him working his way into Gotham's seedy underbelly and terrorizing criminals and civilians alike.
I don't think that was the intent of Phillips' first movie though. Seems like he wanted to make Joker into Travis Bickle Jr. and leave it at that.
The one with the staircase... third picture in the link.
here's the scene I'm talking about specifically:

I'm watching the movie now and I'm pretty sure it's the interiors of the Osborne penthouse. I've recently been to Graystone Mansion and peeked inside and the staircase and dark dark wood are spot on to the scene where Harry is talking to his dad who is standing at the top of the stairs.
I always thought they didn't do enough showing other 00 agents. It was cool when they showed one die in Octopussy and, of course, Alex in Goldeneye.
Something like a new Bond movie where a current Bond is hunting an old 00 that turned traitor and has to use another retired 00 that was close to the traitor when they worked for MI6 to help stop him.
I didn't say God exists. You said God doesn't exist. You started the thread.
Then when people argued with you you said the burden of proof is on them, but I'm pointing out you're the accuser so the burden of proof is on you as the accuser.
