1. Irreversible (rape scene) 2. Ichi the Killer (nipple slice) 3. Oldboy (after you find out she was his daughter) 4. tetsuo the iron man( the whole movie is *beep* up... i love it) 5. Cannibal Holocaust (all animal killings) I have alot more such as Men behind the sun etc, but i only said 5 lol. What are the hardest scenes in a movie for you to watch?
I don't have top 5, but i can say that Marian Dora's "Cannibal" depicting the true life story of Armin Miewes was pretty gross. as far as "Irreversible"...i think "La Haine"'s rape scene was more brutal.
"i did it like this. i did it like that. i did it with a wiffleball bat."
Wow, you have some guts watching the movies you listed. I have the utmost respect for you to try and watch what you have had to go through. Woman (guessing from your name) usually stay far far away from films you just put down. Good sh@t.
1. Irreversible (the rape/assault scene) 2. Antichrist (the clitoris scene) 3. Cries and Whispers (the bed side scene) 4. American Crime (can't specify a particular scene) 5. Anything with Joe Pesci as a mobster
Mum And Dad pretty disturbing all the way through, but the bit with like his deformed daughther strapped to a bed that was the worst. The torture scene in Gangsta No1 such a good seen but theres so much anger and brutality in it it makes you feel very tense. Irreversible the rape scene so brutal. Audition the torture scene whe she keeps making that weird noise when pushing in the needles. The Eye 2 at the bus stop when she's asked the time really freaked me out.
Thank you guys for saving me the time to create a list of movies too gross for me to watch. Whenever I'm in doubt, I'll just cross-reference this thread. :-)
I skimmed all 8 pages of this thing and am disappointed that nobody (correct me of I'm wrong) mentioned Noe's prior film, I Stand Alone.
I don't want to spoil it (and if you want it spoiled, it's not hard to find), but the scene that pops up after that delightful "You have XX seconds to walk out of this film" screen, made Irreversible seem like a walk in the park.
Also, to those of you who think Irreversible is seriously a morality tale and haven't seen the film that it follows, I highly encourage you to see I Stand Alone. All I see Irreversible as after watching that film, is a 90 minute "I told you so!" on the subject of human indifference to each other's suffering. When she's reaching toward the camera during the rape, it's not for you to question why you're not doing anything about it, it's to laugh in your face about how you would pay the $8 to see such a thing. Noe's faith in humanity is even lower than mine.
Also, props to person on this thread that referenced Cries and Whispers.
I absolutely love I Stand Alone. I cant beileve i forgot that film. Just the way he sees life deserves to be in the list. Full of hate and anger. Great film.
yep. i was going through these pages and wondered why "i stand alone" was not mentioned as well.
but, i have to say, in no order:
boys dont cry (the rape/beat down scene) irreversible (no surprises here... the rape scene) i stand alone (punching the 9 month pregnant woman in the stomach and sex between father and daughter. i know it didnt show it, but...) i spit on your grave (the first hour... the last half hour is great!)
hmmm... i guess i just dont like hardcore rape scenes in movies.
and pet cemetery (the tendon cutting scene. ugh...)
keep in mind, these are just the scenes. not the entire movies.
