What's interesting is that perhaps the Brits were ahead of their time in having these requirements in place during the production of a movie. These days people can get taken to court and given big fines for placing too much demand on employees in any industry.

True enough, it was a different time. People had some different values. But I do believe even if it wasn't a "moral issue", many of the people on those continents were exploited for Britain's gain. If it wasn't so bad then why did Gandhi lead his people to throw off British oppression?
But I will agree that the strong oppress the weak. Seems to be part of human nature.
Today, children in Europe are being taught that they deserve to have their homelands flooded with 3rd world migrants because of colonization from centuries ago. The migrants growing up here are taught this as well.
The people pushing this agenda are under the belief that the third world could've and would've done the same to Europe, but chose not to out of the kindness of their hearts. This is what I mean by "moral issue".
The fact is if the third world had to power to colonize Europe, then Sweden would look like fucking Saudi Arabia.
I don't care about what the limeys or the frogs done hundreds of years before I was born to Gandhi or whoever. I won't be blamed for it and neither should anyone else. I also don't care when I know they would've done even worse to my country, but were just too inept to carry it out.
And yet who invented the moving camera and the filming techniques you see today? It wasn't you Brits! It was Americans! And don't kid yourself if you think we were the ones to invent the Casting Couch. You guys were doing it centuries before moving pictures were invented! Just ask any young boy actor working in Shakespeare's Globe theater and other theaters in London 400 years ago. I guarantee you they'd talk about eerily familiar crap like that going on behind the scenes.
And for the record, throwing us into the same group as James Cameron is very insulting. There are many American movie companies with producers and directors who have done just fine working with British film studios. Just ask George Lucas, Peter Jackson, Guillermo del Toro, and anyone who worked on the Harry Potter movies.
