That pretty much sums up most stuff that's written or directed by women. Filmmaking is just an ego trip for most of them, sadly. It's also why 99% of the best films aren't made by them.
Jesus wasn't an ugly black woman.
It's a Spielberg horror movie, thus you get Spielberg horror. He basically used Tobe Hooper as his burner account to make it.
The horror isn't scary, it's just over stylized.
No, I don't have a problem with that. It usually means he's got other things going for him, namely money/status, a good personality, an enviable wang, or all three.
In this day and age, you should only be getting triggered when you see a decent white woman with a non-white man, especially since they always target blondes and red heads.
Normally I wouldn't give a fuck about who white women date, but every white nation is in the midst of being invaded by half the third world and every non-white person is secretly ecstatic about this (scratch the surface and they'll admit it - millions of them on social media and beyond), thus the last thing we need is our own women giving birth to more Mohammeds, DaShawntays and Krishna's.

The opening scene showed someone getting scalped. It was also boring as hell.
I turned this film off after a short time. It's not horror, it's just gruesome gore for the sake of it.
True, but films from prior to that era are too slow for me, save for a few exceptions. Most of my favourite films are from the early 70s to early 90s.
True.
Sounds brutal.
Stallone pulled a masterstroke when he rewrote the script to remove rambo killing everyone (and then being killed by Trautman at the end). It turned a gritty tale into a classic fun actioner.
