40th Anniversary re-release butchered thanks to Woke

Fuck the producers, fuck Hogan, and fuck woke for this:

https://qnews.com.au/transphobic-scenes-cut-from-new-release-of-crocodile-dundee/

Any forthcoming home video versions had better not be this censored woke crap.

reply

This sort of thing doesn't even surprise me any more.

reply

I don't remember anything "notoriously transphobic".

reply

Honestly, if Mick Dundee even so much as raised an eyebrow at one that probably counts 😀

reply

It’s that scene where he grabs that “girls” crotch in the bar, but he has male parts.

reply

I just meant it's like everybody who knows about the movie Caligula knows it's disgusting, or that everybody knows the "no more wire hangers" line. Those are notorious, I doubt most people even know this stuff is in there or would even notice it.

reply

Buy DVDs or Blu-Rays of your favorite movies before they get woked.

reply

I've got so many movies and shows on disc, many dating back decades. Woke bastards can't touch those!

reply

fuck Hogan

He wasn’t involved with the edits. That was done by the studio and the production company. He didn’t know the details of what was cut until the premiere. As for his reaction, he can hardly be blamed for going with the zeitgeist. Imagine the sh*tstorm if he said he disagreed with the cuts.

Any forthcoming home video versions had better not be this censored woke crap.

Sorry, but they will be.

reply

Hogan didn’t go along with the ‘zeitgeist’, he went along with the studio. Normal people hate woke and love Crocodile Dundee and don’t want to see their favourite films censored.

Sorry, but they will be

The odds are home video versions won’t be censored, but there is a danger of it.

reply

I wouldn't bet on those odds. They did a 4K remaster on it and it's getting re-released in cinemas in May. According to this article, "It will become the standard version for future streaming and TV releases": https://www.smh.com.au/culture/movies/there-s-a-new-release-of-crocodile-dundee-here-s-what-s-been-edited-out-20250121-p5l68r.html (paywall site)

I'm against censorship and hope the Blu-ray release would include the theatrical version, but I'd be surprised.

reply

It’s possible but I’ve never seen a disc release contain a wokified version. Streaming yes but not a 4K UHD.

reply

I haven't kept up with physical media releases but it's good to know there's a chance.

reply

id be ok if the new disc release had the option to watch theatrical or new version on menu

reply

Why? Because this film is your property and they have no right to do what they please with it?

Why doesn't the owner of the film have the right to edit their film in the way they see fit?

reply

Because its being done due to self-censoring which in turn is dervied from woke ideology that everyone is tired of. There was really no reason to leave that out of the 40th but only to placate to the PC mob.

Lets remove all scenes in all movies where anyone was uncharitable to anyone. Im not saying they HAVE TO, but lets socially and financially pressure them until they do. Sounds good.

So? I was hoping to hear more about your ultimatum.

reply

Have you tried hoping into one hand and shitting into the other and see which fills up first?

:)

reply

just pirate the original, don't support the woke mafia

reply

Not surprising. Guns N Roses were forced to remove the masterpiece 'One in a Million' from a recent release of the Lies album because they knew the woke mobs would come after them. Same thing here.

This is businesses protecting their brand.

reply

Protecting from who? Why do they care what a small mob of evil PC faggots thinks?

The only thing they need to concern themselves with is pleasing fans.

reply

True, it should be about the fans, but the woke wield a lot of power now thanks to social media. Brands are terrified of their mobs.
