WORST FILM EVER - Anyone agree

This has got to be one of the worst films i have every seen. The acting is terrible.

Although the film is bad it is not the worst ever music biopic (50 Cent get rich or die trying).

The music is great although. Purple Rain is one of my favorite ever songs.

When I was young and dumb I thought it was epic now that i'm old and stupid it bores the crap outta me

It was probably one of the strangest movies I have seen, but to say it's the worst ever would be over the top. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't great by any means, but the film progressed decently and all cast members played their parts well enough to keep me from shutting it off. Although I am from Minnesota, so maybe I had a little more tolerance for it just to see what all the hub-bub was about.

All I have to say is, if you like Prince, listen to our radio stations on wi-fi or something. On 3 different stations, he gets played like every other track.

Too funny listgirl. I haven't seen half of those movies, but I'll take your word for it they suck. I can also think of some other movies to go on your list, but I'll refrain and stay on the topic of this thread. No I don't think Purple Rain is the worst movie ever made.

I think some people are missing the point though. Back in the 80's it was a huge time for music videos. Remember Friday Night Videos? One of the main purposes of making a music movie or musical is to sell the soundtrack. If Prince had not included some kind of script (no matter how weak it is), Purple Rain would have been a long music video. As it is, it has many stage performances in it. Don't get me wrong, the acting from most of the cast is laughable, but you have to remember the purpose of this movie. Prince had created a very successful record label in Minnesota, and he wanted to branch the label out by creating a movie that stars all of his protege' thus giving him another vehicle to display the Minneapolis sound.

Movie = 2.5/5 stars
Soundtrack = 5/5

rofl. if you think this was a bad movie then you have horrible taste in movies.. you sound like the one of the dumbasses who thought napoleon dynamite was hilarious

The music is a 10 but the rest of the movie I give a 5. If it wasn't for Clarence Williams I would have gave it a 1. The acting is terrible. The only person who could act was Clarence. Sticking him in the middle of this movie with non-actors made him look awkward. The misogyny was awful too. Throwing girls in dumpsters and slapping the crap outta them

Napoleon: This is pretty much the worst video ever made.

Kip: Oh Napoleon, like anyone could even know that.
