This has got to be one of the worst films i have every seen. The acting is terrible.
Although the film is bad it is not the worst ever music biopic (50 Cent get rich or die trying).
The music is great although. Purple Rain is one of my favorite ever songs.
You've obviously never watched MST3K. They have a ton of horrid films, where obviously someone got drunk & said, "Let's make a movie, the hell with a script, lighting or professional actors. Or hell, a plot."
Might I suggest Mighty Jack. If you can figure out the plot, kudos to you. Or who the people are, or their relation to each other. Or what the movie's about. 1.5 stars. Makes Purple Rain look like a pro job.
Agreed! Just saw this for the first time SBs was LMAO at how utterly TERRIBLE the "acting" was. The story was stupid too. DAMN! Prince is an amazing performer and LOVE the soundtrack though--only GOOD part of the film. The rest should be burned....
