He decided it would get him a bit of popularity to suck his ego off if he decided to pull the troops out, and , just for a money shot happy ending , he put an arbitry date on it that he pulled out of his ass, and left Biden to make a plan and to carry it out.
Now if he was still in power , granted he would have made a plan and gone through with it.
How that would have gone we can never know.
But my guess would be "fucked it up a lot worse than Biden did"

I suspect Trump would not pullout at all and send military back in after this nice vacation. I suspect biden might do the same, depending on what his handlers instruct him to do.

Trump had his own plan to pull out of Afghanistan. They came with a ton of stipulations and contingencies that, if not met, would cause everything to be scrapped and backed up. His plan was to pull out civilians and allies, destroy or pull out weapons and equipment, then pull out troops last. It's well documented Biden's administration tossed it aside for this plan.
You staunch liberals make being a moderate so dang difficult. I mean, I'm sitting here defending Trump because of the audacity of some posts defending, and in this case, touting Biden's actions. Madness.
