The reason why people victim blame is because if you told a woman that the guy she was trying to be around is a psychopath that woman would not care what you said or take offense that you told her. Not shocking because it's not information. Have you actually read some of the stories of assault? Some of these women went to meet him in various locations for meetings and ended up being sexually assaulted, or told to let him watch them shower. All tried to leave before anything went further. He is a bad man regardless of the compliance of some of the women because he raped many that weren't compliant. How does being surprised by a rapist make rape defensible? Most people who're raped are surprised by their rapist.
