This is all you need to know about this man.

Tyson was convicted of raping beauty pageant contestant Desiree Washington on Feb. 10, 1992, and served three years in prison. His former wife, actor Robin Givens, also said in divorce papers that their late-1980s marriage was characterized by "unprovoked rages of violence and destruction."

The man is a thug and fucking animal, and that is that.

You are saying a person can't change or learn.

Every person who commits a crime should either do life or be killed to solve the issue because they can't change.

Look at a persons actions Mike for many years now is different he knew he had problems and is trying to fix them.

What you need to do is look at a persons history and the time frame if you had done any research about Mikes past you would see why he was like this and how today he has been working towards being a better calmer person which is difficult to do while competing as well at highest level as a fighter.

A leopard never changes its spots.

reply

Yes they do. Often .
Not all the time , but some of the time.

reply

Robert Downey Jr. did.

reply

He gets pissed off even when you bring it up. Tyson isn't holding himself accountable for his actions.

reply

i recall the girl went to his hotel in the middle of the night , which adult in his/her right mind does that if not for sex?

i also recall seeing interviews of her friends saying she was really into him.

i am not a fan of his or anything, just common sense makes me doubt her; if he was a bus driver or factory worker i am pretty sure the girl wouldnt have sued him...

reply

So a woman cannot change her mind? Is that how you justify raping women?

reply

I am by no means a fan of Tyson. But she took off her tampon in the bathroom. The girl wanted sex. Either he got too rough or she was planning to sue him all along.

reply

I read the entire trial transcript and Tyson was wrongfully convicted. Did she think she was going to the Heavyweight Champion of the world's hotel room in the middle of the night for Bible study? No. She wanted him. She had him. Then, when he didn't want her to sleep over and got her a ride home, she started claiming rape.

I am a female who has twice had real rape attempted upon me. I fought, screamed and got away. Opportunists like Desiree Washington make it so much harder for true rape victims to be taken seriously. And, she put a man in prison for doing what she went to his room for.

As for Robin Givens, she was a real piece of work who humiliated Tyson on Barbara Walters. Tyson allegedly found her in bed with Brad Pitt which ended their marriage.

reply

No way did Tyson find Pitt in bed with his wife. Tyson has a temper and deadly right hook = Pitt would've been killed.

I remember Tyson dumped her immediately after that Walter's interview.

Tyson and Givens were still married when this photo was taken. Getty Images just doesn't have bedroom photos.

reply

I'm linking both Tyson and Givens short interviews. They both say Tyson met Pitt in the driveway. And Tyson says they were already separated. Givens says they were returning from a Premiere.

No affair. Givens and Pitt worked together on the series "Head of the Class".

reply

Tyson called her at around 1am and said they could drive around in his limo to just talk. She declined and he said that night was the only opportunity since he was leaving the next day so she agreed. Instead he drove directly to his hotel and said he needed to retrieve something. She trusted him which was a huge naive mistake. I had a college pal who was almost raped by a guy using a similar playbook, but she became suspicious and declined at the last minute.

One of Bill Cosby's daughters was raped by Tyson also.

And then there's the wife abuse. He had a pattern.

reply

"Bill Cosby’s daughter Erinn Cosby publicly accused Tyson of sexually assaulting her a few years earlier in 1988. According to The Washington Post, no criminal charges were ever filed." Source: The Grio, a Black news outlet

The 'naïveté' of Washington is no excuse for destroying a man. She had been in the pageant world which is notorious for women being compromised, or at least, finding themselves in compromising situations. There is testimony by her own friends that she wanted Tyson.

Imagine a man chooses to go jogging in Central Park at 1:30 am wearing a shiny gold Rolex with a diamond bezel. He is immediately mugged and relieved of said watch. Will his naïveté cause law enforcement to jump in and help him? No, the cops will likely say, "Yes sir, we're on it!" then laugh when he leaves the station.

Edit: Tyson was never even charged or convicted of spousal abuse, only 'accused' by Givens.

reply

Date rape exists.

Spousal abuse exists.

Charges and/or convictions are extremely rare. I personally know plenty of victims and no one was ever charged.

My 7-month pregnant neighbor was beaten and hospitalized, but her man was never charged. I heard the beatings all the time as did all the neighbors.

Cosby's daughter brought up the rape attempt AFTER the Washington rape likely to show Tyson has a history of this type of behavior. She immediately told her father who called Tyson telling him he should seek therapy. Neither Cosby nor his daughter wanted to publicly attack a successful black man at the time.

I remember that she walked away from her dad's money because she didn't want him telling her how to lead her life and she was normally a very private individual. There would be no motive for her to lie about this.

I hope you choose to read this. It also mentions how William Kennedy Smith was acquitted in 77 minutes for similar charges.

reply

That's a biased opinion piece. I prefer court documents, police/medical records and court transcripts. I don't need the author's "interpretation".

Smith case is irrelevant. BTW, an acquittal doesn't mean the person didn't commit a crime which is why the term innocent is never used. It just means there wasn't enough evidence to prove it which is the reason for a " not guilty" verdict instead of "innocent". OJ was found "not guilty" in a criminal trial and "guilty" in a civil trial

Don't forget that some evidence is not admitted including in the Smith case.

reply

Look up the case dimwit.

The only reason Mike went to jail is because he refused to cop to a lesser plea and settle the case. He refused to admit that he did anything wrong. Against the advice of his lawyers he went to trial. He was convicted. He accepted responsibility for the verdict. He did his time like a man and he paid his debt to society.

What are you? Some #metoo douchebag?

You bumped an old Jerry Lewis thread? Are you stalking me? LOL Get a life loser.

I like Mike.

reply

I always stalk TROLLS.

reply

That makes you...a troll.

reply

I'm stalking YOU... Troll.

reply

Get a job. Move out of your parents' house. Being an adult isn't as terrifying as you think it is.

reply

Really disappointed in you. What a dumb thread and things to say.
Expected much better from someone with such a cool Bladerunner reference as nickname.

Be better, man. Be fucking better.

reply

LMAO, and if you think you can fucking gaslight me just because of my handle, dream on you cock head.

reply

I don't think you know what gaslighting is.
Actually, I am sure you don't.

Maybe invest more time in education instead of insulting people... or rather yourself.

reply

Perfectly said, Callahan.

Mike could have been railroaded. Only two people were in that room.

What I want to know is if Desiree Washington thought they were going to Tyson's apartment at 2AM to view his etchings? Sounds like next morning regret to me. She also testified that she told Tyson she wasn't on the pill and didn't want to get pregnant, so he pulled out before he finished on her stomach. Do rapists comply with that? Maybe, but it sounds suspicious to me. She also accused someone else of rape in high school. Maybe that happened (and I hope it didn't because no woman should have to endure that), but all we have to go on is circumstantial evidence.

reply

It wasn't just circumstantial. She had vaginal abrasions that the medical examiner said was consistent with rape. This was a key piece of inculpatory evidence. Regarding visiting his hotel room, he had promised to take her out but invented a ruse about seeing his bodyguard in his hotel room. People also witnessed her leaving Mike's room crying, and panicked. Outside of the case, Mike attempted to lure his limo driver to his room, and touched her inappropriately days earlier (this wasn't presented in court because it was considered prejudicial). In addition, Mike tried to rape the 11yo niece of one of his trainers when he was in his teens, he also attempted to rape Bill Cosby's daughter, ironically.

reply

She had vaginal abrasions that the medical examiner said was consistent with rape.

His opinion certainly, but it could also indicate vigorous or rough sex - not exactly unheard of. What did the defense expert say?

She also said she told Tyson she wasn't on birth control and asked him to pull out, which he did. Not saying that wouldn't happen during a rape, but it's suspicious.

People also witnessed her leaving Mike's room crying

Could mean anything.

and touched her inappropriately days earlier (this wasn't presented in court because it was considered prejudicial)

With good reason. One person's "inappropriate" could mean he touched her shoulder.

Mike tried to rape the 11yo niece of one of his trainers when he was in his teens,

he also attempted to rape Bill Cosby's daughter,

And was unable to physically complete the attack in either case? If we change "rape" in either of those sentences to "have sex", it might make more sense and fit his boorish mentality.

I wasn't there, nor was I at the trial - what i know I just kind of picked up from various news bits over the years. Maybe if I was on the jury I would have voted for conviction, but there seems to be an awful lot of doubt that doesn't clear the bar for me to put someone away.

reply

"She also said she told Tyson she wasn't on birth control and asked him to pull out, which he did. Not saying that wouldn't happen during a rape, but it's suspicious."

If you read the transcript of her testimony, she was saying anything to stop him from raping her. She didn't "ask him to pull out", she said she didn't want to get pregnant. It was Mike who pulled out to "appease her".

"His opinion certainly, but it could also indicate vigorous or rough sex"

He said he only had seen 2 cases in 20,000 where injuries equivalent to Desiree's were the result of rough consensual sex. That was pretty damning testimony for the jury to hear.

"Could mean anything."

Indeed it could mean anything but when you have multiple witnesses who saw her behaviour before and after, it corroborates the story she told.

reply

Maybe.

Maybe not.

Women lie all the time.

He wasn't accused of any of this stuff when he was poor......but when he became wealthy and rich and famous and women start THROWING THEMSELVES AT HIM like he is a rock star.................THAT is when he starts choosing to abuse women? When they stand to get tons of money out of him?

Maybe.
Maybe not.
We weren't there. I don't claim to know what really happened.

I did see the Barbara Walters interview and her belittle and emasculate her husband on national TV. I couldn't think any less of woman. What a back stabbing, disrespectful piece of garbage.

reply

Lol. Robin Givens is a known lying ass hoe. Her and her mom. They treated Mike poorly. She knows how to play the "victim" card.

reply

I'm sure Iron Mike wouldn't hurt a fly.

reply

No, this isn't all I need to know. Before I could decide what I think about him, I'd have to research all of the evidence in the trial and decide for myself. I'd also have to know what he's been doing the past three decades.

reply

A great champion and fighter ruined by Don King and,Robin Givens as well às losing Cus D'Amato and Jim Jacobs and firing Kevin Rooney.

reply

too many people really thought he was fighting for some boxing integrity...

he's wasted all his money on drugs and tigers, he just wanted a quick payday. even the script was leaked.
