I like some of his songs and stuff, and "Lose Yourself" is actually a pretty good song but overall my opinion on Eminem and his music ranges from indifferent to disappointing. Not a complete distractor me but definitely not a fan. You?
shareMade a big splash and disappeared. Certainly made his mark on pop culture. I think he bungled his career when he didn't make a big stab at being a movie star. You gotta do that kind of thing to cement your legacy.
shareHe's cringe these days...probably always was but I liked him back in the days when he was at his prime and I was an edgy youngster. He has made a number of decent songs over the years though I don't think he's made a good one since that Rihanna collab over a decade ago. In truth I haven't listened to much of his stuff in recent years.

shareAlthough I'm not a big fan, he's been an unbelievably huge success who's sold hundreds of millions of albums. True, he's dropped off these last 5 years but he had a great 15+ year run of multi-platinum albums.
I'm not positive but I think a lot of his success has been because he's had a TON of support on the making of his albums. Multiple song writers, producers, engineers, vocals, keyboard players, etc. Maybe he's a corporate d-bag in plain sight?
What do I think of him? I don't.
