No he isn't but he's evidently a 'movie star' to some degree.
Arnold, Sylvester and co aren't good actors either (I know this will trigger some folks who grew up idolizing the 80s action movie stars but it's the truth).
Sometimes it's better to be a movie star with some charisma than an acclaimed actor.
I barely consider Vin a star. I think he's just a guy who's been in big budget movies.
shareYou should watch Maggie with Arnold. He was fantastic in that and it was not his typical role. Sylvester was amazing in Creed, although it was a similar role. But he definitely deserved a nod for it 😊

Rocky and that movie where he's a Def cop are +++dramas in regards to Stallone.
Vin also has made some drama movie I haven't watched, though I suspect he doesn't live up to Stallone.
Arnold, well... His build and accent makes it hard for him to do anything else, but I'm sure he's done something.
With a decent script and director anyone can be a 'good actor'
You could add Tom Cruise, Brad Pitt, Tom Hanks, etc to that list.
It's not just action stars who can become a movie stars without actually being particularly good "actors"...
He’s pretty one note as an Actor but he has charisma onscreen as a badass. I like him but I don’t see Oscar noms in the future, nothing wrong with that.

I watched it. Great 20 minutes. Yeah, it makes me a little more aware of his talent. He's less a Bruce Willis type than I thought. Still, the guy is more white than black.
shareNope. I thought he was a very exciting young actor when he broke out. And I even thought making a franchise out of being a lunkhead was a bit inspired. (by Rocky, obviously). But then he just went full lunkhead in everything he did.

I’m hoping he returns to acting once the Fast and Shit series is over and done with, imo, the man has talent and I miss his character acting chops.
