I've NEVER liked Tom Hanks and have always found him to be the blandest, most uncharismatic "star" in Hollywood.
He's been in some pretty good movies, but over time it seems he's becoming more of an uptight self righteous douchebag. This could not be more evident by the pompous self-important looks of disapproval on his face during Ricky Gervais monologue at the Golden Globes

I like Hanks in "Bosom Buddies" up to "Big", and now he is just a generic face that they use in movies. Blah ... that is what he is, blah.

You win the lotto as far as careers go Tom, be glad you did and that it let's you live a pampered life, but don't kid yourself about who you are.

shareI dont know. The only lectures I've seen Hanks give were about remembering and honoring WWII vets. Even though they handed the country and world over to the real evil and killed millions of their brothers in the process, I think he feels it's okay to raise awareness for them.
