It doesn't take much, does it? ...so what exactly did Tom Hanks do but have a pained expression?
I did like Ricky Gervais's comical little monologue myself but am I now suppose to hate anyone that didn't enjoy it? Does that mean that Tom Hanks must be this horrible person?
The judgement in this world is swift and absolute and it doesn't matter what side it comes from.
We're suppose to automatically hate and say nasty things about anyone that doesn't agree with us, right?
We're not getting rid of prejudice. We're just finding new acceptable ways to administer it.
Did Hanks ever comment on this? You never know what's going on inside someone's head. Maybe he thought 'geez, kinda embarrassing but this dude has a point'
Why should anybody give a rat's ass what Tom Hanks thinks about anything? People act like he's some kind of god, or at least royalty with a special connection to righteousness, and it seems like he's starting to believe it himself. I'm sick of his disapproving just-sucked-a-lemon face.
Ricky Gervais is absolutely awesome and deserves all the support he can get, when I saw Tom Hanks reaction I was shocked, this is entertainment not a burial or a car crash, reacting so seriously and shocked shows how arrogant and unconnected to the real world he is.
As an other poster posted: It's silly for him to deny that he fits exactly into the mold that Ricky was making. You win the lotto as far as careers go Tom, be glad you did and that it let's you live a pampered life, but don't kid yourself about who you are.
How much frontloading is going on here?

If we look at these preview numbers we see that they are excellent but still behind many films that would go on to top the weekend out at 140...150...160 million and yet so many see this as hitting 170...180...even 200(!) million.
Why? Where is the precedent for that? If we are looking at historical precedent this will fall well below 150 million. I still peg it under 125 million for the 3-day.
Make fun all you want...we will patiently wait for today's matinee numbers.
Like one analyst said..."We are in for a bumpy weekend for predictions." LOL...he got that right but the "bumps" may not be what many were expecting.

To my knowledge none if my posts have been removed. There would certainly no reason to.
If this film is frontloaded, then the trajectory would land BP at 115-120 million for the 3-day. None other than Scott Mendelsohn at Forbes says that if there is heavy frontloading that is the number it will get.
Horror of horrors...that was my exact projection!
^^^^
fast forward a few days after Queen made these posts.....Queens expectations of Black Panther Opening between 115 to 120 or 125 M....Went down in absolute BURNING Flames when Black Panther Exceeded all those "dangerously High expectations " and topped 200 M on Opening Weekend.....Queen was Right about The weekend being "Bumpy"....Unfortunately It was ONLY "BUMPY" for Queen....
It was nice of Queen though to go out of his Way to end the post, specifically noting "That was my exact projection" to let us all know YET again he was certain BP wasnt going to meet those "Dangerously High expectations" and instead he wanted us to know He Predicted a 115 to 125 M OW.....Thanks for that one Queen....
Why would anybody like any Hollywood Star? Just because they look good on camera and can act and have gotten some good movies and characters ... it doesn't mean they are good people. Liking any moviestar is stupid and borderline gay for most men. I think it was Hitchcock that said that actors were just furniture. I detest this star culture ... it has given us two of the worst Presidents, Reagan and Trump - just because people liked their staged and formulaic movies or shows ... their celebrity image. How stupid Americans are.
