Appetite for Destruction
For those who love this album, what is your favorite track on it? I put this album in a class of its own. It is pretty close to perfection in my book.

I'll go with "Welcome to the Jungle" by a country mile, though I do love the whole album...When that song burst upon the scene it was so unlike anything that had come before you couldn't help but sit up and take notice! I've obviously always wanted to cover it in one of my bands over the years, but I've come to terms with the fact that I simply lack the pipes to pull it off...
shareExactly- about it making people sit up and take notice. Those guitars command attention! π
shareMine is also Mr. Brownstone! π€π€
Welcome to the Jungle is a close no. 2 but itβs been a little overused now.
Mr. Brownstone is my favorite of that album as well. My shit band used to cover it in High School and it was always fun to play live.
It's So Easy, Nightrain, and Think about You are my other favorites off that album.
Ok, current fave came down to three cuts.....
"Mr. Brownstone"
"My Michelle" and this next one, I'll add the video so you can see the band in their prime......
It is in fact my current fave track off of the great album "Appetite for Destruction"......

My late college roommate absolutely loved this recording...he played this all the time from 1987-1989.
To be honest, I'm not a huge GNR fan. Slash is a great guitar player and I will definitely give them their due for being a huge band back in the day...but I've never been crazy about "Appetite For Destruction." I like "Lies" better...I think "Patience" is hands down their best song and I like "Used To Love Her" a lot also.
That's okay. We can still be friends. π
Music speaks to everybody differently and it's great that there are so many different kinds so that we can all find what moves us. I'm sure even if we don't find some musical overlap here we'll find it somewhere else. π
Oh, of course! I never put anyone down for what they like/don't like musically and I think we far more agree than disagree when we talk about music.
What's kind of "Ironic" (You'll see where I'm going with this in a second) is that I don't like Alanis Morrissette much either (I think "You Oughta Know" became famous for one reason...she sang "the F word!" π), so today might be the first day where I've disagreed with you musically! But I could never be mad at someone who said "Here Comes The Sun" is her favorite Beatles' song (It's mine as well... it's one of my favorite songs to play on the guitar...I actually play a fingerstyle version of it on my nylon-string...it could easily have been written as a "classical guitar piece, IMO). But it's all good on this end... keep your posts coming! ππ
We're actually closer to being on the same page than you think. π Although I think You Outta Know is the ultimate "been done wrong song", in general I'm not an Alanis fan. She would be an example of a musical act where I don't have much use for the larger body of her work, but she's got one song that I think is exquisite.
