What's the most embarrassing movie you have watched?

Please list all the movies you are embarrassed (or should be embarrassed) that you watch so I can judge you. Thanks for your co-operation. I would list some movies first, but I only watch sophisticated, critically acclaimed classics and award winning masterpieces.

Star wars the force awakens

reply

That's not embarrassing. You could do better. Don't hold out on me.

reply

You kidding?? I felt horrible just debating with myself is I should even admit to seeing it. I was such a chump to go watch it. I felt violated

reply

I saw the "Fifty Shades" trilogy. Pure hilarious shit.

reply

I'm judging you for watching that. Only women and dirty old men watch that.

reply

I'm both. Don't ask how that's possible.

reply

That kind of turns me on.

reply

Anger Management. Wish I'd never seen it.

reply

That one wasn't that bad.

reply

My Favorite Martian (the updated Disney one from the 90s). It was really bad, despite being a bit funny.

reply

Spring Breakers (2012)
The Last Airbender (2010)
The Happening (2008)
Warm Bodies (2013)
Catwoman (2004)

reply

I'm judging you so hard right now...

(No, not really. I honestly liked Spring Breakers, The Happening, Warm Bodies, and Catwoman.)

reply

I liked Catwoman also for its plain, escapist fun quality, which is what movies are meant to be to begin with. And Halle Berry in that black leather outfit was incredibly sensual! 😋

reply

For me, even a leathered up Halle Berry couldn’t save it.

reply

Huh. I thought The Happening was pretty good.

Marky Mark AND John Leguizamo in a sci-fi horror picture?!?

I know everyone bags on it but I liked it just fine. I’m clearly in the minority on this one lol.

reply

Yeah, I just found the way the film was executed to be totally ridiculous - it was one of those rare occasions where even I couldn’t suspend disbelief.

reply

Yeah. Most everyone disliked it.

reply

What??? No!!!
Wha wha what??? No!!!

Yeah you know what I mean. Hahhhahah

No,i enjoyed it also. Found it a refreshing angle on the nature horror thing

reply

I guess it’s just you and I🤓

reply

Bat Pussy

I'm judging you so hard right now.

(I've seen that one too. It was awful.)

Twice, both Disney things. A revival of Fantasia years ago, I thought it would be a fine idea to smoke some weed and watch, I thought it would be a bit trippy, but it turned out to be a bit of an embarrassment, the crowd was mostly kids. Years later, The Prince of Egypt. I dragged a friend to the theater (didn't take much convincing as I had the weed). Anyway, a few minutes in a musical number started (I didn't know it was a musical) and I was really embarrassed to be there, and we walked out.

So these are not bad movies, it was the circumstances.

The movie that happens to try to watch today, Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes 2024, I'm 5 minutes in and I realize I don't like talking apes, they remind me of some individuals fellow humans

reply

Dunno.

Recently, however, it would probably be Through My Window 3: Looking at You, the final part of a trilogy of god-awful teen romances that feel like they started off as WattPad fan fiction written by someone who had never met human beings or read or heard a story before. And that fan fiction was then 'improved' by GPT-4.

The first Through My Window is entertainingly bad, so not embarrassing to have watched. The second one is just boringly bad, but I can excuse myself for having watched it because I was expecting it to be similarly entertaining to the first instalment.

But having sat through the boringly bad second one, I have no excuse for having watched the final part.
