shareI would suggest that in these days of gender equality that it is women's turn to be drafted and turned into cannon fodder. And of course we must not forget the Trans community.
It's sad to think that, in the supposedly modern 21st Century, that topics such as new world wars and the draft are still relevant.
I can understand this mindset existing in the past when there was a tendency to become nostalgic over some past conflict; "war stories" would get passed down through the generations, becoming embellished along the way, painting a rosy picture of a glorious campaign.
With extensive film footage of WWII and other subsequent wars widely available for viewing, the true horrors of what happened can be revealed in all their ugliness. Why would anyone in their right mind romanticize something so bloody and tragic, or think that war is the solution to anything?
"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.” To those who believe war is glorious, go watch some documentaries that contain actual filmed coverage of the real thing.
So what's your solution to a large armed force stomping the shit out of another nation with little to no provocation?

But in times of draft you're just put right through the mill as fast as possible cause they gotta fill body bags.
